The beast that I saw looked like a giant wolf and the artist had put extra effort in drawing their deathly eyes. There were several writings on the page. ‘Only if I could understand this,’ I thought. It showed the image of a man draped in black, surrounded by clouds, while other creatures stood around him—but none could get close enough. Beside the drawing was text… but none of us could read the language. “What does it say?” Damon asked as we stepped back slightly, and Lucy exhaled. “It’s just like I said,” she began calmly. “The creature’s energy can numb the powers of every other creature as long as they are exposed to it.”

As my face got close, the cover flipped open and pages began to turn. It stopped at a page in the middle and I looked closer to realize that everything was in a different language, Latin, maybe. As
