Pulling the thing free, I got out from under the bed and set the cloth-covered object on top of it. Whatever it was, was thick and heavy. I peeled back the cloth to reveal a black, leather-bound book. Balric’s alarm and fear shot into me, jerking my hands away from it. “What is it? What's wrong?” I asked, pulling even farther away from the book. Suddenly I recognized it. “Dios Mio, this is… this is the book he used on Agron.” *Be careful with that thing, Desi. I wouldn’t even touch it if you don’t have to. God, I thought Caius had this book destroyed after what it did to Agron.*

Such a good story! The story flows well. Doesn’t go on too long describing a vibe or paragraphs of how one foliage growing on a home looks like (looking at you, Anne Rice). Seriously, though, “Jilguera” is a wonderful storyteller. Read this story. It’s so good.

Creative show not tell like of story. Unique and dosent have “breaks” or emotional slow parts. Love the diversity and embracing unconventional circumstances. Also it’s not to long or drawn out, it’s just the right length. A delightful afternoon read 10/10 thank you!

Nollax: The Vampwolf Chronicles

Nollax: The Vampwolf Chronicles

the young woman explained. Elizabeth moved forward to take a closer look at one of the books displayed inside a showcase. It was an old book and it looked soiled. The cover of the book showed several small circles, each one depicting a form of metamorphosis. One of them particularly caught her attention. It showed a humanoid creature morphing step by step into something that looked like a phoenix. “One of these books might have an answer to where the dinosaurs actually came from,” Agatha joked.

Tragedy of the African Cinderella (BlackBook 3)

Welcome to unedited Black book 3 of the Woods series. This book can be read independently. You can read it without adventuring into 'Married to a stripper'. I'll be extremely happy if those who haven't checked that book out do so. I hope you enjoy my works. Love you guys much much. Your humble author Zagzahzlau. ~••~ The Sunday night was frigid against unarmed skin in Buea--the city of legendary hospitality-- located in the southwest region of Cameroon.

THE DEVIL´S DAUGHTER

THE DEVIL´S DAUGHTER

No lips, no eyes or ears, just an unformed black mass that might supposed to represent a face. But as the figure gets closer, she can visualize human features underneath the jelly-like layer. Indra shudders when she senses that the creature radiates both evil and despair. The smell of sulfur, ash and decomposition fills her nostrils and she pushes her back harder against the tree trunk to escape the overpowering stench. The intense sensations radiated by the black figure make her slightly nauseous, as if they have somehow managed to crawl under her skin. "Don't try anything, we can see and hear everything inside your mind..."

My Seven Gorgeous Women

My Seven Gorgeous Women

"Greetings…" "You don't believe me, do you? Take a look at this." Black White knew what Chase and his group were thinking. He grabbed something in the air, and a black and white book appeared in his hand. He placed it in front of Chase and the others. "What's this? Chase looked at the cover of the black and white book. The words 'Book of Life and Death' were printed on it. "The Book of Life and Death?!" He was surprised. Walter and Barry gulped. Was that really the Book of Life and Death?

CHOSEN BY THE CURSED ALPHA KING

CHOSEN BY THE CURSED ALPHA KING

“Lost?” Her voice sharpened. “You thought it was lost?” The chamber trembled. “I burned that book myself,” she hissed. “I watched it turn to ash. You mean to tell me it still exists?” None of them answered. They just cowered, flickering like dying flames. Her fury deepened, but before she could strike again, the air in the far corner of the room began to shift. Something moved—slowly at first, then faster. A shape formed from the darkness, taller than the rest, heavier. It was made of smoke, pure black, rippling as it stepped forward.

Fantastic book! I originally stumbled upon it while I was waiting for another book to upload more chapters and expected it to be a light read. I couldn’t have been happier to quickly discover how wrong I was. The well written spicy scenes hooked me first, then I fell in love with the characters.

Crimson Moon

Crimson Moon

Curious, I picked it and read the words written on the hard cover; ‘Lobo’ was the single word that was inscribed into the thick cover. I opened the first page and saw that it was written in foreign language. I glanced at Sir Nich, he was engrossed in whatever he was writing. I returned my attention to the hand-drawn, black ink pictures in the book. They were of some kind of beast. The beast that I saw looked like a giant wolf and the artist had put extra effort in drawing their deathly eyes. There were several writings on the page. ‘Only if I could understand this,’ I thought. The book had caught my interest. I was so indulged in the drawing of the creatures that I hadn’t noticed Sir Nich wa

she muttered, turning the pages of the book I hadn’t even realized she’d been holding all this while. “I saw this.” We all stood up immediately and gathered around her, eyes fixed on the book resting on her lap. It showed the image of a man draped in black, surrounded by clouds, while other creatures stood around him—but none could get close enough. Beside the drawing was text… but none of us could read the language. “What does it say?” Damon asked as we stepped back slightly, and Lucy exhaled. “It’s just like I said,” she began calmly. “The creature’s energy can numb the powers of every other creature as long as they are exposed to it.”

It left a dark circle on the floor and the fairies had disappeared into the red liquid. I shot up in terror and began to lose my balance from springing up so fast. I reached over and grabbed the desk to catch myself and I began to realize that my hand was getting warm, almost hot. I looked over as it launched into a full burn in my hand. I yanked my hand away, turned and bent over to investigate the book that I had rested my hand on. It was a black, bound book that looked almost like burnt flesh. As my face got close, the cover flipped open and pages began to turn. It stopped at a page in the middle and I looked closer to realize that everything was in a different language, Latin, maybe. As

she muttered, her eyes fixed on the book which was so dusty and crisped. Quickly, Lilia sat on her bed and flipped through the first page, her curious eyes glanced through each word. This book was a gift bestowed on her on her ninth birthday by Mama Gunad, the book that contains the legendary story of the cursed werewolf no human has ever laid eyes on. With a racing heart, Lilia flipped through each page as the first three pages failed to mention the name of the werewolf.
