Tristan nodded solemnly, his eyes serious. "As I said earlier, my lord, we intercepted some Silver Crescent scum," Tristan began, his voice steady. "And they were in possession of some cheap witchcraft. Because once we backed them into a corner, they disappeared." He paused, collecting his thoughts. "But they left us a message," Tristan continued, his words dripping with gravity. "The alpha's mate must live up to her words, or else, she'll meet her end at our hands." The words hung in the air like a challenge, a threat that Damian couldn't ignore. His mind raced with possibilities, his heart seething with anger and betrayal.

The unimaginable strength he possessed could be felt from every word he spoke, but my heart was crushed with terrible pain as I watched him hopelessly while the mate smell battered my nostrils. After so many years of looking forward to my mate as my Savior, I finally found the devil as a mate—he was someone who would kill me if I called him my mate. Someone who called me a dirty pig with contempt in his voice. He was one of those vicious Lycans, which my mother had warned me to avoid because they were monsters.

I shrugged, "Well, my sister brings me books to read and I kind of call him whenever I have questions so I am pretty confident in your culture now" Traian wanted to deliver some books about Shifters to my sister and pack it for me because I still didn't tell him my address for the past two years but I refused. I am afraid someone might have opened those books and read the contents. I don't want to risk anything. Instead, my sister brings the books she has to their house. That's what I read and I finally know about Traian being a Lycan. I still find it hard to believe that I am mated to a Lycan—a superior kind from Shifters. They are stronger, have lived longer than the others, and have a dis

I said doing my best not to buy into her delusion because it only had one ending and it is tragic. “That’s how it starts, that’s how it started with Jayden and me,” She tried to convince me. I rolled my eyes. “Yeah right, are you forgetting the part where he is your mate, don’t push it, woman,” I responded. “He can be your mate too, you never can tell,” “He can’t, I have a mate remember? More like I had and you know him,” “Ari, don’t dismiss it like it can’t happen, there is always a second chance and this might be yours,”

While I was ready to sleep at night, I suddenly saw someone moving on my bed. I tried to scream for help, but my mouth was immediately covered by another person's, which I quickly calculated to be him. I tried to push him off, but he was just too strong. Why are we the same breed, yet one person is stronger than the other? Is it because he has been a Lycan longer than me? "Damien! You thug! You're a scumbag! How dare you come into my room like that and kiss me without asking?" I fired at him, though I couldn't shout.

In my memories, she stands before me in another life, fierce, radiant, and untouchable. The woman who once held my heart in her hands and crushed it to seal my fate. I loved her with a madness that terrified even me. I would have wasted empires for one smile. Instead, she chose betrayal and left me to rot. And now here she is again. My Bella. My curse. My salvation. I'm trembling. Actually fucking trembling under her touch. The great Lycan King, reduced to shaking like a boy because his mate is looking at him with something dangerously close to tenderness.

She said, covering me up with duvet. Submitting to her, I laid back on the bed with my head titled upward. “Mate” the word rang in my skull. There was a great fright that was accompanied with trembling in my body. It was hard for me to take in the huge discovery into my dead skull. Never expecting a Lycan to be my mate, take- more of a royal wolf. The moon goddess has succeeded in ruining my life I’m doomed. Was I cursed? Maybe I was birth out of wedlock, cause I found it hard to understand how grievous things keeps happening to me.

That led to extinction of the wild creatures. "That can't be true, royalties are the only ones who are able to read that, Sylvia." Bella utters with confusion marked at her face. "They're the Lycans" I said with my low voice slowly stroking the book. I got so intrigued that I wanted to know more information about them.

Tiptoeing he climbed down from his bed and walked towards the sliding window to close it tightly. The moment he stood in front of the open space, a wave of fresh rain splashed on his face. Lycan woke up growling like a mad one. He went out of control and Leonard couldn't control him. He was fighting to come out but he wasn't ready for that. Iris was utterly injured and in such case of Lycan came out, things might take an ugly turn. His family was once cursed by a witch to be mateless. Since then they were depending on the breeder until one breeder became a mate during the time of his ancestors.

She asked to be sure. "Exactly." "Was it?" She asked and he looked at her. "What do you think?" She shrugged her shoulders. "It was." He replied. "Is that why you make the human sacrifices every year?" "What do you expect? We were told that was the only way to stop the curse." "Did it?" "No." He exhaled heavily. "I heard so much about lycans, people believe they are devil's in disguise, more dangerous than a werewolf. They have no emotions, that is why Zeus had punished them."
