But the words that left their lips left me stunned. "I, Knox Maddox and Alpha to the Crimson moon pack refuse to accept your rejection!" He snarled, slipping from the bed, naked and unashamed to step into me, the female sprawled out on the bed forgotten. His worried eyes meet mine and I shift just as I hear Emlyn’s voice. “I, Emlyn Grace Gunnar-Holstin, accept my role as mate to Alpha Richard Clint Holstin and Luna of the Shadow Falls pack. I promise to honor and protect the pack with my love and my life if necessary.” I turn, gasping as Emlyn slices Rich’s palm, licking his blood to officially make herself the Luna of Shadow Falls pack. I realize that the entire pack that has been here fighting is watching her, needing a leader to guide them.

The female defender shouted to him. Luna's eye color was slowly changing, and by that time, Maison already knew that she was going through the process of transforming once again. He couldn't think about the possible ways he could stop her from turning into a beast once; he later found himself hugging her. The stone piece on the male defender's neck started to glow, and then after that Luna went unconscious. The other pair, Blaze and Jack, were peacefully walking through the bridge when the shaking started. Blaze accidentally fell over Jack's body, which made her shocked while the male defender weirdly flashed a smile on his face.
