MAEVEI was rudely awoken by the sound of a fist thumping against my door and a loud voice bellowing through the gap."Maeve... MAEVE!! Wake up sweetheart. TODAY IS THE DAY!"I lazily stretched out and opened my eyes trying to take in my surrounding. My eyes rested on my photo collage board in my room, pictures of my family and friends greeted me with their warm smiles. I knew how lucky I was to live the life I did. MAEVEMother, papa and I walked outside of the estate to be met with the pack standing on the grounds waiting for us. "Peace and prosperity to Alpha Sadler and his family. Without an alpha there is no pack" they all chanted in unison. "Without a pack there is no alpha" my papa replied giving the pack a nod of acknowledgement. The pack buzzed with excitement as we all walked to the clearing within our pack's territory. I could hear them all mummering between themselves wondering who my wolf would be. "Maybe it will be Karina the famous she wolf warrior" I heard a little boy say to his mother. Our wolves were reincarnated from generation to generation, some returned almost instantly with the death of their last host ready to live another life, some returned every few hundred years or so and others had never returned from the spirit lands at all turning into myths. The clearing was filled with bluebells and the warm summer breeze brushed across my face as I took in my surroundings.

MADDOX"Hurry up we are late! I knew we shouldn't have trusted you to get us there on time." Alpha Turner chimed up from the back seat. Today was the day alpha Sadler's daughter completed her summoning ceremony. Whenever a summoning happened with an alpha's family all the other alpha's join the ceremony as a nod of support to our standing within the community and as a sign of our peace treaty across the UK. MADDOXWe were all still standing there staring at the clearing in pure disbelief, when another more ferocious shake erupted from the ground beneath our feet. A few of the Sabre pack began to run in fear. 'No matter what comes out of this we stand and fight like the warriors we are' I heard my wolf Tyr call out to me. I agreed, we would not run from a fight. I took my stance ready to face whatever was coming head on, the other alpha's followed suit. MADDOX As we entered the conference room, we were all placed in silver cuffs. It hurt like a bitch but it was decided to be necessary to stop us Alpha's from shifting when things got a little too heated sometimes. MAEVEMy body felt as though I had been hit by a truck, and my head was pounding. I opened my eyes and took in my surroundings, the room was dark. The lights were off, and the curtains were closed. I could barely make out the shadows of the room but knew I was somewhere unfamiliar. I was laying on a large bed with velvet sheets caressing my skin. I lifted my head and saw movement in the shadows out of the corner of my eye. "Hello? Is someone there?" I called out. I didn't like this I didn't feel safe. The lights turned on and I saw a man stood in the corner of the room, with a sombre look on his face. He was a relatively tall man, about 6 foot 5 if I had to guess.
