I asked with great curiosity as I stared deeply into his eyes. "Yes!" He nodded and sipped from his coffee, then he looked into my curious eyes and then said- "I am not pleased with you, and hereby reject you as my mate." "Excuse me, what are you blabbering about? What do you mean by I'm your mate?" I asked in fury, but this man only scoffed, staring at me like I was some dullard. "You don't know what you are?" His eyes narrowed further as he moves his shoulders on the table, and his neck a bit elongated from earlier.

Dane questioned. I put down my fork. “Sorry, all I could smell was pickles and Crest Water Moon warriors. So, no she not my mate. If she hadn’t been Canon’s “special friend’s”, I might hit though.” I hope that sounded cooler than, it felt, as I said it. My wolf was excited about the word mate. We quickly thought of Stasia as our mate, and my wolf was mad that we lied about her being our mate. But I had my reasons, she was human. I had no idea how I really felt about that.

Anastasia's POV "Is she bluffing??! There is no information about rejected mates in the books I've seen. And what does she mean already rejected two? Mates are said to be extremely hard to come by!" I frustratingly pull my hair as I pace back in forth in my room. "But Rozen said that mates are a bond of forever right? So how can it be rejected? No... do I actually trust the words of that fake b*tch?" I continued to anxiously pace around the room. I don't even know nor do I understand why I am currently reacting like this. This whole overreaction isn't like me! No, actually all of these emotions whirling and causing havoc inside me are not like me at all!

My breath caught in my throat as Alpha Weston's gaze settled on Seraphina, the daughter of Alpha Mark, a powerful alpha from a neighboring pack. "Seraphina," he continued, his voice carrying a bittersweet tone. "You have captured my heart with your grace, your strength, and your unwavering devotion to our pack. It is with great honor and love that I choose you to be my mate, to stand by my side as the Alpha Queen." A thunderous applause erupted, filling the hall with a symphony of both celebration and heartbreak. My world seemed to shatter in that moment, my hopes and dreams collapsing around me. The weight of unrequited love bore down on my shoulders, threatening to crush me under its immen

Damian Blackwood is the infamous Alpha of the Shadow Moon Pack and is known for his ruthlessness. He was merciless in every story ever told and a huge predator among wolves. The thought of having someone like him as a mate was terrifying and infuriating. The mate bond was undeniable because it tugged hard at my soul, leaving no room for me to breathe, but I would never be his. I’d rather die than let him have me, and he was not letting me make any of those decisions.

They all insisted I had never had a mate. But I clearly remembered reading their congratulatory comments! What on earth was happening? Just as despair threatened to consume me, I heard the low murmur of whispers spreading through the pack. "Looks like Nora's lost her mind. She imagined a mate who doesn't exist and disrupted the ceremony." "Right? Even her dad and friends confirm she has no mate. How dare she make a scene during the full moon ceremony, claiming her mate disappeared?" "And it's such an important event. She just wasted everyone's time."

My legs trembled, my chest burned, and I couldn’t look away. Mateo fought like fire, wild and unrelenting, every strike fueled by rage and something far more dangerous. His body was already marked by the clash—blood slicking his arm, a gash across his cheek—but still he refused to yield. He was a shield made of fury, and for me, he would break himself if it meant I lived.

Valeria’s POV “I can’t accept you as my mate.” It’s happening again. The seven words that sparked the beginning of the end, haunting me even in my dreams. I force myself to wake up, but even with my fitful sleep, I can’t. Matthew’s face looms over mine, in perfect color even in a dream. He’s as handsome as ever, with his bright blue eyes and messy blond hair. I want to reach out to him and change the course of events, but this is just an echo of reality.

“I just want to understand if that is why you are so averse to me. Did you love him? Is that it? He betrayed you and that is why you resent all men?” “Oh, don't be ridiculous. How pathetic do you think I am? Hating all men because of just one, that is just so cliche. And mind you, I am not averse to you. I don't know you to care that much. What I am averse to is the whole mate business. I don't like it.” “Why not? Explain to me here, please. Do you have any idea how I feel? I met my mate and she is not interested, how do you think I feel?”
