The Demigod Files Novels & Stories

***HoGuo Temple*** Even from a distance, the entrance of HoGuo Temple was visible in all it’s glory. It was not grand in terms of luxury but more of splendour in terms of heritage it represents over the centuries. Legend has it that this temple was once a home to the gods which lived on Earth during their trials and the descendants of those gods would come to this temple to pay homage to their ancestors. This temple is also said to have artifacts locked away which used to belong to those very gods and goddesses of old. However those artifacts are not open to the public eye and the monks that reside in the temple have never revealed any of it’s secrets. Many have tried to break into the templ

I stand up from my mat, which I am kneeling on now to say my daily prayers to the gods. Goddess Dicha Please give me joy and happiness in the palace; help me relate in peace with everybody else. Give me the strength to push through anything. O god, I'm going to your son's palace. This is the first time I've had this thought in this exact way. I am going to be serving in the palace of the son of Cre, the Creator. My mind is rambling; I can't concentrate on a single thought. Our kingdom, like most other kingdoms, is ruled by a demigod; our king, King Zao, is said to be the favorite son of the god Cre. I have never met a demigod. How would he look? All I've heard are stories of him and his temp

he asked quietly, as if he was almost afraid of the answer. Veritas smiled lovingly at him. There was no doubt in my mind that she truly did love him. “It makes you my son,” she teased him with a wink. “Officially, it makes you a Demigod. I have concealed that part of you from others being able to detect it because that knowledge would put you and anyone you have ever cared about in danger. Demigods are powerful beings, so their power is sought-after. I suppose that I left one thing out about your command. It will work on any creature and the youngest of us Gods.”

The valley was actively healing its own scars. We rode to the archive. Isra was waiting for us. The Grand Architect had the Master Methodology open on the ironwood table. Elias walked up to the book. He looked at the black-ink pages of the War Doctrine. The Eradication Protocol. The Shield Wall. The Iron Voice. It was a terrifying chapter in our history, written in the blood of eight hundred human sailors and the lost innocence of our own children. Elias reached out and turned the heavy parchment page, closing the section.

The regrets surged. I didn't flinch. --- When I opened my eyes, the sun was setting. Hours had passed. I was still standing. My face was wet with tears I didn't remember crying. My throat was raw. But I was still standing. Fenra watched me from the edge of the circle. Her three eyes were unreadable. "You didn't break." "I almost did." "Almost is not broken." She stepped into the circle and placed a hand on my shoulder. "You're ready. As ready as anyone can be to face a seven-hundred-year-old Null who wants to become a god."

I'm sure most of you guys have heard about demigods. Kids born to gods and a mortal (human), with super powers, extremely good looks (me, as an example), yada yada, blah blah. And I'm fairly sure you read them in books and you were like, oh, those can't be actually real, they're fictive and stuff. Wellllll, we exist, same way gods exist. Don't be so shocked, I'm sure you were secretly wishing for such already. I assure you, I was as shocked as you are too when I first learned anyway.

‘No matter what he says’ the three guardians councelled, ‘don’t talk back at him, never’ It was then that the men discovered that the earthquake was a voice actually. The ground before them lifted and presented to them the judge-the god of violence. His hands were tied to two pillars by the dint of very monstrous chains whih seethed and cooled. He, himself, was made of brine so that when he raised his voice with demonic indignation and bared his mouth in a snarl, one was sure to see and feel and dread him. He was every inch mad and furious and violent. Now as he spoke, the pillars astride him shook. And beside those pillars were giant gargoyles that stood to his beck and call.

Wezhira smiles, “High-ranking yes! Demon? No, this is what is known as a Demiurge, a god extension or a child of an infinite being and his name is Devoid and he has six siblings, 3 brothers and sisters and all of them powerful in their own right!” “Sounds like you are going to say we are not ready for that yet again!” Mukura rises from the ground and folds her hands. “That would be correct, but in time I shall tell you! My battle against Devoid shook realities across the infinite space and finally, he conceded, somehow I was able to get through to him and he helped me heal the world, restoring everything back to normal as much as we could.” “So, the dark god is now a good guy? Just like in

‘You are a male, but you are not Meruem. ‘About that,’ I gulped, even when I was merely communicated through my thoughts. ‘The original demigod is dead for a while now. But we,’ I gestured towards Byron and I, ‘Are his reincarnations. Two souls split into two, and the two powers divided between us. My name is Nathalia, while my brother’s name is Byron.’ I smiled at the Kelpie, hoping that what I said made any sense. ‘Hmm… say that I believe you. What brings the two new demigods in my territory?’ The Kelpie inquired.

"Aubrey?" My eyes began to change color slightly, could it be that the person who gave the kid this name is the owner of the goblins, after all, only a name scares the elves? Demigod? I've heard numerous legends of demigods, incredibly bold and aggressive people who inherited their heavenly god parents and were more strong than mortals. The ancient monsters were all eliminated by competent demigods, but in the end, demigods were just half-humans, half-gods, and they had to live samsaric lives, not everlasting like gods. Only truly outstanding demigods can be made a minor deity and become immortal.
