Indra raises her chin, looks defiantly into the fairy queen’s bottomless black eyes and replies in a strong voice: "I am Indra, the Devil's Daughter." Melia's backing away. Her companions make hissing noises and the ashen fog retreats several meters revealing blossoming wildflowers underneath. Melia raises a hand and the fog stops. Then she turns back to Indra and studies her from top to bottom. "I didn't know Lucifer had a daughter..."

I remarked. "Does it?" he retorted. I had to heave a deep sigh to calm myself. I'm not being exaggerated or anything but everything that is written on the contract that he said only favors him. "I, Natasha, fully submit myself to Valerian Fenrir as his mate and promise to obey him and do everything," I read out loud. "Are you serious?!" Valerian nodded casually like as if what he wrote here isn't nerve-wracking. This jerk.

And it's ironic because that day was the first day he ever truly called my name with compassion. Blinking away the memory, I bend over the sink and splash water on my face, a devilish grin on. Maybe Papa was right when he said I was from the devil. Else, which child would tie her father to his favorite wooden chair and set him on fire? I felt nothing that day, even though I had a beating heart. I didn't pity him, even though I had a soul that was meant to be kind. Then again, maybe I was once an angel, a mockingbird killed by the wickedness of the ones I loved the most. Maybe it was Papa that turned me into the devil I became today.
