The Duchess Deal Novels & Stories

“So… she’s the new Doll.” I chuckled. “She owes us. A lot of money.” Duchess let her gaze drift in the direction Billie had gone, almost wistful. “She’s beautiful, though. That fragile, innocent kind you three seem to crave.” Her voice dropped. “Does she know what all three of you will do to her once the year ends? She—” “We’re at a wake, Duchess,” I cut her off. “Don’t make me discipline you right here in front of everyone for running your mouth. Stay the fück away from Billie. I don’t want to see you near her ever again.”

“And let me guess, there are not any official rules that prevent Celestial Dukes from interfering in matches.” Jorgsten let out an annoyed sigh. “...No. It is an unspoken rule that we do not interfere in the dealings of mortals.” That must be why he never directly helps us. Suddenly, he stopped pacing. “But if the seventh Duchess was made a Duchess. Why haven't I seen her? Wouldn't they flaunt her as one of theirs?” “Well…they might have needed her less as a bargaining chip and more as a prized cow to milk.” “Oh,” Ryan muttered behind me, the entire image clicking into place.

"Lucian and I don’t do anything inappropriate. When I bring him his order, he always tells me that he’s already cleared it with Sir Kyros. We just talked." Jessie laughed. "Well, Sir Lucian doesn’t seem like the type who craves women. Unlike his cousin…" I suddenly thought of Misha. He still hadn’t contacted us. I couldn’t even bring up the topic with Lucian since Sir Darius was his cousin. "I heard that Darius has a fiancée. It was arranged a long time ago, but he refuses to accept it. His parents want him to marry her because of his grandfather’s inheritance," Shiela shared.

The pain medication made everything slightly hazy but I pushed through it. "Last night I positioned myself outside the old meeting hall," I began. "The duchess was meeting with Ricardo. I heard their conversation through an open window." I recounted everything. The duchess admitting to Kael's death. To the destabilization plan. To threatening Ricardo when he expressed concern about being caught. "She said, and I quote, 'The plan did work. Kael is dead. The pack is destabilized.'" I looked directly at Marsh. "There was no ambiguity. No room for interpretation. She confessed to orchestrating everything."

Celea was looking around to see every single person in their tribe dead so she anxiously asked the Duke " Father….Where are Nayeli and Carmen ? " "....." There was complete silence between the two ***** Not long after Celea had left for the mountain the Duke received the message that somewhere near the Dukedom the Duchesses body had been found lifeless, the Duke went there right away just to find his wife dead and then he saw it. Smoke. From afar coming from the duchy and that's when he realized. A trap. The Paşa jumped on his horse but not before telling his companion to stay behind with the Duchess. He was now riding back towards the mansion with an incredible speed

“But then again, we both know that nothing will happen.” “You impudent bitch!” the duchess snapped as she rose from her seat and was about to slap Emery. However, even after a full swing, the duchess just fell on the ground with a high pitched yelp after Emery dodged her slap. She looked down on her and said, “You are growing old already, Your Highness. Better be more careful or you will be on bed rest earlier than you should.” “Fine,” the empress finally said after a hard debate with herself. “I agree to that duel to death you are proposing.”

She handed him the contract and sat back in her chair, looking around his office. On the wall to her right was a large family portrait which she hadn’t taken notice of before, Roman and Alexa were just kids, but they looked happy and complete. “Everything seems to be in order.” He signed on the line and passed the pen to Sierra to witness. “Great, I’ll get the ball rolling on the dispatch, we will be in touch.” She stood after slipping the contract into her bag, “It’s a pleasure doing business with you, Mr. Leek.” Sierra smiled and extended a hand for him to shake.

His eyes roamed across the small paper as he read, “I, Robert Dex of Western Wind, am requesting for His Majesty’s permission in assisting the duchess’ ladies in finding advantageous marriages. “Amidst the protest of her ladies leaving the castle, Duchess Bethilda has agreed to sending them back to their homes, on the condition that they should be paired with great noblemen for a sustainable future,” James continued. “I beseech you not to let her situation affect the prospects of her ladies, having a brighter and better future.” After leading, he folded it again and slid it back into his coat. I put my hands on the table as I avoided his stare. “I see that you already read my letter.”

"Well, yes. That's for a human's perspective. But for us-a noble or a mythical creature as what human history says-it's natural. We can live for millennia and tens and hundreds of it, not aging. We can even enter eternal slumber if we want to. "But that's not always the case. Sometimes, one can enter a force eternal sleep if they committed a crime that is too grave beyond comprehension and the risk being known to the world is high or they took offense to the humankind that we're supposed to take care." -Cassielle Elise D. Dairen, the daughter of the duke, Clyde Estreno D. Dairen. The unknown duchess.

"He believes in knowing everything about his... acquisitions. Every detail matters when building the right image." I turned back to the mirror, studying the bride reflected there. She looked perfect—exactly what Killian Hart needed for his business arrangement. Beautiful packaging for a transaction. But underneath all the silk and crystals and carefully chosen elegance was just me. Celeste Andrews, the girl who'd sold her dreams for her family's survival. The girl who'd promised herself she wouldn't fall for moments of unexpected kindness. "The dress is perfect," I said, my voice steadier than I felt. "I'll wear this one."
