The Duchess Deal Novels & Stories

He was straight to the point as he twirled in his swivel chair, facing the huge windows, oblivious to Audrey’s presence. “I’ve got about three million up for grabs. I just need to find someone I can trust and I’ll gladly pay her off. Holding up my reputation is essential to my company.” “Yeah, I get it bro.” “How about you let me know how it goes, a hottie just walked right past and I’ll love me some of that.” “Still the same bro.” Ace shook his head as he chuckled. “Talk to you later.” “Sure.” The line went dead. “I’ll take the job.” Audrey said, almost throwing him off balance.

(Queen Duchess Angela) Both of them looked a little somber for a brief second, before smiling again. For Queen Duchess today has been a very fruitful moment for her, not only she were able to secure a massive profitable deal with Aeternum, but also have gotten herself a permission and also a suggestions to get herself the Western Region Hallerus, of which is something that she has been eager to have. Now only she gotten herself the method for it, but also a good motivation to be more eager to obtained it.

The sound of the unknown weapon the Duchess used, however, which had previously caused my ears to bleed, was overshadowed by silence after that. "M-Master, I-I have indeed failed to do my work. Please, e-excuse me this time, please!” "After not claiming that medication? You haven't even tried to make that auction work in our favor, therefore it's already your last chance to win! Do you understand!” The Duchess screams indignantly. “H-His highness, the crown prince, however, had purchased the medication that was sold at auction two days prior. When the representative man seized the box of Millian, I-I spotted an imperial emblem!”

But now that the duke said it, magician Dashiell- I would like to know if the duke truly will hand him over to us." "I'm not going to break my word. And, if the young duchess so desires, we can make a deal with the magical contract," he said. "After all, magical contracts are unbreakable, and breaching the contract can result in death."

he said, leaning down to kiss my cheek before bolting from the room at full speed. The duchess let out a thin laugh. “What a coincidence.” I turned my glare on them. “Would you believe it if we said that we just get paid to watch over things?” she added. Oh my fuck. “You’re not the real Duke and Duchess, are you?” I sighed. “But we signed the agreement. We’re fully with you,” the woman insisted. “Where’s the real ones?” I asked. “They fled to the city next door last week,” the man pretending to be the Duke admitted.

“What if I told you that you still have things to lose?” Daniel tilted his head to the side. ‘Does he know that Magnolia joined the Phoenix? Is he going to use that as leverage?’ “Something incredible reached my ears a few days ago,” Titus started. “It appears that the duchess, your wife, is a Gottanlich.” Daniel froze. “And to make things worse, she joined the vigilantes that her husband himself fights.” “After today, we have no allegiance to you, so technically there is no treason there.” Daniel knew that he was spurring nonsense, but he had no idea what else to say.

I could tell. He didn't bid on anything else for the rest of the night and as soon as the auction ended everyone stood up, some of them still buzzing about the violin. I walked towards Valerian ready to toast him for that stupid spend when two people suddenly approached us. The Duke and Duchess. Up close, they were scary. The Duke looked at Valerian, then his sharp eyes landed on me. The Duchess smiled, but it was a cold smile. "Mr. Ashford," the Duke said, his voice dry. "A bold purchase."

The room had grown quieter after the signature scratched across the merger contract, but the air was far from calm. Duke rose from the chair, voice low, each word measured. “This doesn’t mean I agree to anything else. Not the engagement by heart. Not your… games.” Alexandra’s smile didn’t falter. “Of course, Duke. The contract is the important part. The rest… we can negotiate in time.” Her tone was light, but every syllable was a trap.

I explained. Hindi ko alam kung paniniwalaan nila ako. Well, I made sure to be direct para hindi na gaanong mahaba ang usapan. Gusto ko na din ipagpatuloy ang pagpapahinga ko. Damn, my peace of mind. "By pledging loyalty, you mean marriage?" the duchess asked. "Well, uh... Kind of?" Duchess Jubelline let out a deep breath while Duke William seems to be processing everything I've said to make a decision.

She clicks the button. “Theo Duncan was spotted yesterday playing golf with one of the respectable board members; all I can say is that he wants the CEO’s position really badly.” “I am not scared of Theo, he might be cunning but he’s not smart.” “We have to get the deal with Aurora Digital before Theo does. Jenna Harper, the CEO is a stubborn young lady as the media describes her. I already scheduled for you to have tea with her, it will also be good for the media, they want to see you with someone popular for the upcoming voting.” Daphne says, when we reach the lobby, she hands me my keys and I leave the company for the airport.
