THE SYSTEM GAVE ME A GLOW UP (Ugly no more, men at my feet)

THE SYSTEM GAVE ME A GLOW UP (Ugly no more, men at my feet)

Dominic’s car pulled up outside my private 6 bedroom mansion late that night. The engine remained running as we sat there in comfortable silence for a moment. He turned toward me. “So,” he said slowly. “How exactly did you learn Dutch? Does your ancestery lead there?” I smiled. “I told you. I’m multilingual.” That wasn’t exactly a lie but it wasn’t the truth either. The truth would have much stranger to talk about and harder to believe. Just a few weeks earlier, the system had assigned me a task and the reward was the instant comprehension of spoken languages.

What Hell May Come

What Hell May Come

The truck’s forward plate dangled by a single stripped-out bolt. Jon tapped on the front door. Mrs. Dutch answered and, without acknowledging Jon’s presence, yelled for Michael. He came to the door quickly, a backpack slung over his shoulder. Jon was glad of that. He didn’t want to linger inside. It seemed like the Dutch family never cleaned their carpets and the house constantly stunk of cheap cigars and fried bologna. That night was no exception.

The Duchess's Desire

The Duchess's Desire

The Duke. Her heart lurched at the sound of his voice. He was alive—thank God, he was alive. She hadn’t known what had happened to him when the men had ambushed them, but the relief that washed over her was quickly replaced by a wave of anger. Why? Why had he allowed her to be taken in the first place? “You’re awake.” The Duke’s voice was low, his tone carrying a tinge of regret. He stepped into the room, his silhouette barely visible against the dim light. He seemed different now—darker, more guarded, his movements stiff and cautious.

Claimed By The Outlaw

Claimed By The Outlaw

★ ★ ★ Dutch was smaller in the hospital bed than she had imagined a man with his presence could be, but his eyes were as sharp as ever and the first thing he did when she walked in was point at the chair beside the bed. She sat. "You're Sloane," he said. His voice was rough from something, exhaustion or medication or both. "Yes." "Colt told me about you." "What did he tell you?" Dutch looked at her with the unhurried assessment of someone who had been reading people for sixty-seven years. "Enough. Tell me the rest."

A SIN BETWEEN US

A SIN BETWEEN US

The curtains waved in the large western-style window at the front of the house. “This house is a relic of the Dutch colonial era. My father bought some of the land on this island, almost sixty percent of the land here belongs to my father, used for the spice plantation and this area of the house. The rest is residential housing. This house has been completely restored by my father. He really likes all things old-fashioned.” Aaron smiled at Laurel and winked. “But don't worry, even if this house is an ancient house, there won't be any ghosts. Well, maybe if you see sightings of medieval broad-dressed women, ignore them.” “Aaron!” Laurel mumbled a warning not to scare her with ghost stories,

She clouded her face with a smile and blinked, a gesture that could tell one she was trying to retract. "I thought it was common knowledge." She smiled. "But you haven't still state the purpose of your visit here. Yes the Dedutch used to live here and used to own the property but there is now a new owner and the Dedutch family committed suicide, lit the house on fire. Everybody in it died, housekeeper, maids and all. The dogs too." "Do you believe that?" Alexis asked, walking past her and then walking towards the entrance. "Hm?" She started following behind, William behind them both.

Broken Promises

Broken Promises

He laughed pulling my chin up for a kiss. "Can ya'll take that shit somewhere else damn." I turned my head toward Brooke "technically it's his house so he can do what he wants." Dutch made a face at Brooke, "Ohhhh...you going to let her talk like that to you." Brooke shrugged rolling her eyes, "well technically she is right so." Dutch walked over closer to me, "so how much longer does this stuff have to cook." I shrugged, "about 30 minutes."

still reading but I'm surprised Ive enjoyed this story as much as I am. I usually dont like whiney female characters, and her anxiety was giving me a headache, but I enjoyed the drama. looking forward to where or how the story ends.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. With the many statements as: "I made a face/frowned/cut my eyes at" – it irked me lol. But very good nonetheless. Kennedy was strong headed but also stubborn, Seth was annoying in some scenes and never thought about anyone else until it was convenient for him.

Queen of Shifting Fates: A Supernatural Awakening.

Queen of Shifting Fates: A Supernatural Awakening.

Dutch's lack of patience will be his downfall just like those before him. Both turn to the door when they hear a knock. "Come in" Dutch says hoping it is the tracker he sent out to find Lucas. He needed some inside info from that pack of wolves. They really outdid him when they came for Tessa with the help of a witch and dragons. He never anticipated that they woukd be on a friendly foot with them, it makes their army stronger, and even though he has the ability to summin his army, he still need some relics to get before he can summon the heavy lifters. It takes too much time and it is frustrating

Superb Son-in-law

Superb Son-in-law

After this they would organise a maid and driver to help them with their chores. ===>>>0<<<=== The sound of thunder boomed several times. The rain fell heavily, drenching the area around Bukit Kecil, because it is a rather high area, it rarely floods here. The Dutch colonial government was indeed clever in choosing locations for their residences in its era. The strongest evidence is that the houses around here have European architecture. "Stefan lives in Switzerland and works for a company headed by Grace's father, my former secretary. Shouldn't we be suspicious that they're really related?" he criticised as his blood began to rise again.
