A love unscripted

A love unscripted

Ethan stood alone in the library, a room so vast it swallowed sound. Dust danced in the golden beams, the scent of aging paper, wood polish and something older. He moved his fingers tracing the spines of old books, many of which he'd never been allowed to touch as a child. Names embossed in gold, edges worn soft from the hands of others he had studied in secrets. Now no one stopped him, but the feeling of trespassing has never truly left.

S.A.S.

S.A.S.

“We improvise it live.” Pauly handed her a slim, battered paperback—Mockingbird, cover worn, pages gutted to hold a wafer-thin transceiver and a micro-SD slot. “Your new copy. Same weight as the real one. Press the title twice if you’re burned; it wipes your last three hours and plays an audiobook. Press the author twice and it pings us with location.” She slid the book into her tote without looking. “And if I press the spine?” “It complains about being objectified,” Pauly said.

Alpha Erik

Alpha Erik

Libro Vitae whispered its voice harmonious. "Libro Vitae, please show me where Alastair is hiding," I asked. The book hummed in response. Libro Vitae became warm in my hands. The cover opened, pages flipped continuously until they suddenly stopped. The words on the page jumped off the paper, floating into the air, wrapping themselves around me. In a blink of an eye, I was pulled into the book. Light flooded my vision. Every sound echoed around me. Voices raced past me, speaking in riddles. Some shouting, screaming, others a dull whisper. Libro Vitae's voice became louder as I watched the trees form around me.

Mrs Magnolia
Don’t let the price of the chapters fool you, these are the longest chapters I’ve ever seen. The price is well worth the amount you’re receiving. One of the best books yet, not only does the author do a wonderful job telling the story but also keeps you intrigued the entire time.

Love how this story is written. I have read the entire series and I can say it is a whirlwind of emotions. Alpha Erik is the first of the five book series and it stole my heart from the start. Definitely worth the read! Big chapters too!

Alpha and Human Professor

Alpha and Human Professor

Yet tonight, something felt different. Kaia stirred within her, more restless than usual. There’s something here, her wolf said, her voice insistent. Something we’ve missed. Elena paused in her search, her fingers halting on a row of particularly old books. The shelves here seemed older than the others, their wood darker, the spines of the tomes cracked and faded with time. The books here whispered of forgotten knowledge, their secrets waiting to be uncovered. Kaia’s voice sharpened. This is it. Look closer.

Eidolon Ave: The Second Feast

Eidolon Ave: The Second Feast

Pulling a crumpled tissue from his sleeve, he dragged it along his upper lip. “I see.” She turned, glancing again at the crowded shelves. “So, all used, then?” He nodded, then coughed. “Yes, nothing but used books,” he said, catching his breath as he struggled to unwrap a lozenge. “Interesting books.” The cough returned, the cherry cough drop still trembling between finger and thumb. The disquieting racket of an old man hacking up a lungful of phlegm filled the room. Although she wanted to leave, she turned. Continued. Wandered deeper into this dark forest of forgotten words. Away from the hacking oldster near the exit blowing the snot out his nose while rain pelted the sidewalk outside.

Echoes of a Vanished Love

Echoes of a Vanished Love

It made me eager to return home and meet the young heir of the Chandler family, Jayce Chandler. After returning to the apartment that I'd lived in for six years, I moved all my belongings out in much the same way I was sweeping this relationship out of my life. It was just like taking out the trash. That night, another deliveryman knocked on my door, this time with a plastic bag containing burn ointment from the pharmacy. I tossed it on the table, not even opening it. Before I left, I took one last look at this empty house before leaving. ... The next day, I booked a flight to Northsdale, then I handed over all my remaining work to the person who would take over my position that day.

ECHOES OF LOVE

ECHOES OF LOVE

“Such a lonely boy, how did we get to this point?” He asked himself out loud, he got off the bed and went to his reading table, picked up his photo frame that was on it and opened it, the first photo that showed was of him and Katrina, he could remember when the photo was taken, he smiled and flipped the pages of the photo book, it was calming to go over the memories he had made since he was a little boy.

The Echo of a Broken Vow

The Echo of a Broken Vow

The courtyard was overgrown with weeds, and the stone pathway was covered in a thick layer of moss. Next door, where my childhood home had once been, was now a bar. From inside, a singer strummed their guitar, their voice drifting through the evening air: "…At the moments that matter most, I finally see it clear, “Your hesitation, “Leaving me to wander alone, “Sober in the midst of dying, “Realizing you were always two steps ahead of me…" My fingers tightened around the keys. The sharp edges dug into my palm, cutting deep.

ECHOES OF DESIRE

ECHOES OF DESIRE

Lena's fingers laced with her other hand from the opposite side, her touch careful in the specific way of someone who knows they're still earning something. But Echo only answered with another pulse, deeper this time, sweeter, and curling through all three of them like smoke through an open window. Too late. I'm already inside.

ECHOES OF THE PAST

ECHOES OF THE PAST

“Fine. Just be back early I almost laugh. He’s already acting like my owner. He has no idea the leash snapped the second I opened my eyes ten years earlier. The rest of the day passes slowly. I keep seeing Damian’s face in my mind, hearing his voice. The way he said “We’ve done this before” sticks to my ribs like a splinter I can’t get out. I walk to the park in the late afternoon, hoping the fresh air will help. It doesn’t. The same bench. The same breeze. A single text arrives on my phone Tick tock. My pulse spikes. I spin around, scanning the crowd. Parents. Joggers. A couple on a picnic
