She was supposed to be begging for mercy, to be accepting the fate she had to.
Instead, she was standing there, bruised, shaking, terrified, and still choosing life.
It infuriated him.
Yet, the corner of his lips as if he was fascinated. Then it occurred to him.
“ They do say people change when they're at the point of death.” He said, now understanding the change of character.
“ But you should be grateful.” He spat as something darker twisted in his gut. “ Death would be a mercy for someone like you.”
