There were too many lies and betrayals for me to act like things were as they used to be. I walked slowly down the stairs, making little noise. I heard a loud growl and the sound of something crashing.

Even when Carlton flashes me with a smile, It doesn’t just occur to me to reciprocate. The next activity is a GAME Called SIMON SAYS. This time, three families were merged together to make a team. Of course my kids and Andre doesn’t waste time to propose we merge up and the organizers approves. Carlton doesn’t hide his smile the moment the organizers merges us. Another small family also merged with us. Together we all make a team of four. The rules of the Game was simple and fun. “Mafia. It’s, like, a game where you vote out one person each round to try to find the mafia boss. Like … Survivor!” He says proudly, knowing Dante and I are avid Survivor fans. “How do you win?” I’m genuinely curious now—I’ve never heard of this game. “You trick other people and pretend you’re good when you’re bad or bad when you’re good.” I nod my head. “So if you were the mafia boss you’d try to convince the other kids that you aren’t?” He bobs his head enthusiastically. It’s a strategy game, I realize. I pause. “You know, your dad and I know a thing or two about those kinds of games. Why don’t we play a family game after dinner, and we can teach you some of our tricks?”

The same day, Elena we called outside the ranch, I walked out and saw a huge round table positioned in front. "What's going on!! I asked uncle Julian, he shoots a curious smile at me, then Elena walks in with Riya behind, holding a jar of flashcards in her hands. "Hello my lovely family!!! And welcome too, Khan's family game night, come over and have a seat". Elena seems to be in a happy mood, Sara falls her eyes and assured that everything will be fine because she knew that my mom isn't to be trusted. We all filled up the empty seats, Riya placed the jar of flashcards in the middle of the round table and sat next to Elena.
