Before long, a book floated towards his lifted hand and he caught it. Glancing at the title of the book before showing it to the cat, he said, "Is it this one?" The cat perked it's ears when it saw the title. 'Journey of a Thousand Cat Soul' was written on it with golden letters, and the background picture was that of a black cat jumping on top of a building while the full moon shone brightly at it. The tip of it's mouth curved upwards. "Yes. Yes, this is it." He said and put it's paw on the black cat on the cover after Noel put the book in front of it. A sense of melancholy instantly filled it’s rounded cornea; as if excited and also reminded, and it continued to stay still.

Spitfire. The cat. Apparently, Ofelia collapsed while trying to get the feline. A firefighter had to carry them both out. She was okay—just at the hospital—but I still shot Alan a pointed look like, See? This is what happens when you let a cat live in your apartment. I didn’t move from the rug, but I sighed loud enough for them to hear. They didn’t, too wrapped up in worry and talk of vet visits and air purifiers. But I was paying attention. I always did.

I had then accidentally opened up his gallery and saw that it was filled to the brim with porn videos. Perhaps my curiosity had gotten ahead of me. It had killed the cat, after all. But after I learned about his nasty stash of porn videos, I felt as though some lustful demon had awakened inside of me. I couldn't help thinking that the women in those videos were as ugly as heck. I wanted to show him what true beauty really looked like.
