The First Book Novels & Stories

My eyes water a bit at his words. My father reenters the room and gasps. I look up to see him staring at the book. "Do you know what that is. It is the first book that has ever been printed in our language. It is a story as old as time but talked about much." He exclaims. He looks so happy and shares my joy. We both love to read, and I know it has been a while since he got to read an actual book. It is a fine first gift, I think.

Isn’t that the reason why they were trying so hard to hide their identities? “B-But, other people enjoy reading werewolves stories. They thought it was fictional so they felt okay,” Joel tried to lift up the mood. “That’s right, Hunter! Don’t lose your spirit!” Edgar cheered. “Really? Then, after I publish my first book, I will think of making one for a werewolf.” “Anyway, what is your first book?” Joel asked. “My first book is: The Red Bugs In My Blanket Are as Big as My Butt.”

And once you reach for it, you will identified as one of their leader. Every born child of Alpha's will have their own book. And this book will lead them to a quest. A quest will help them to level up. These Alpha's were created by Mother Tree, she was the most powerful of the underworlds. She can give more life to every creature in their land. But creating the Alpha's would be her greatest mistake because instead of protecting their land they were the one destroying it by killing each other just to be a leader. “Sounds like someone really wanted to name it WARG. What does it represent?” “Have you been living inside a cave or something your whole life?” April threw up her hands. “The blood wars,” she said as if explaining things to a child. Again. “Was so devastating—so destructive that even the warmongers began to fear it. To stop such destruction 10 individuals of different factions came together to sign a treaty, creating a new world government what is now known as the WARG. The hallway was bright, filled with daylight that had never reached this far inside the palace before. “Well, here goes nothing.” I smiled as I squeezed past my creation and turned the doorknob. The room beyond was empty aside from one book, encased in glass. Whispering surrounded it, urging me to reach out and take the book. The voices grew louder, drowning out everything else. I was so entranced I hadn’t heard the movement behind me until a hand grasped my shoulder.

"The chapter we just lived..." The girl nodded happily. "It became a story." Another shelf glowed. Then another. Books began appearing throughout the endless library. Every decision.

Then she goes to school. The second book finds its readers more slowly than the first. The first book found people who were already doing the work and gave them the language for it. And she was going to find out who. The vault opened with a whisper of ancient magic. She stepped inside, and it felt like crossing into another world. Scrolls. Sealed tomes. Moonlit artifacts locked behind obsidian glass. Then she saw it: The Book of the First Moon-Blessed. Sealed in crimson wax. Titled only in runes. She broke the seal. And the book bled. The pages weren’t written in ink. They were written in blood. Her breath caught as she read: The first Moon-Blessed was named Liora.

In the past few years, I’ve struggled with writing, and have not completed a book despite starting numerous books, so it’s a big celebration to have this baby marked completed. And it’s all thanks to your encouragements.
