I'm leaving tomorrow morning." Elizabeth was caught off guard. "So soon? Why the sudden rush?" I kept packing as I answered, "I was worried Jacob might try to stop me when the time came. So I'm leaving ahead of schedule without informing him." Seeing how resolute I was, Elizabeth just shook her head and sighed. She didn't try to talk me out of it.

After I submitted the request to leave the pack, Marcus approved it almost immediately. I was taken by surprise at first, but after thinking about it, I realized it made sense. He was busy spending time with Clara. He probably skimmed the paperwork and signed it without even noticing who submitted it. I didn't go home right away. I kept driving until I was far beyond the city limits. I shook my head and turned back toward the studio. She did not follow. She remained there on her knees until nightfall. I was tired of arguing and just wanted to escape them both. Caleb blocked my path, grabbing my wrist painfully tight. "You're not leaving until you apologize to Sheena!" "Let go!" I cried out, struggling against his grip and desperately wishing someone would help me. Just when I was about to lose hope, Caleb suddenly released me.
