Romans & histoires The Guild Member Next Door Chapter 1

I leave before I can change my mind. Rook is waiting in the hall. He doesn’t ask what happened. He just falls in beside me, his shoulder brushing mine, and together we walk toward the gates, toward the Council, toward the fire Theo sees coming. Sundown is in two hours. We’re not waiting for it. Zyphre declared his stance in this case. “Do you think that I will let them touch her?” I asked him sarcastically, pissed by his distrust in me. He snorted but didn’t say a word. We stopped in front of a door again. Noah did something to open the door. The door slid at one side without making any sound. We entered the room and I saw a few other members of our guild already sitting around the round table in the middle. “Gabriel. How are you doing, bro?” Micah, another member of my age, and also the future alpha of the Red Moon Pack.

“Get some sleep.” “You too.” Ryan switched off the light before leaving. The room became quiet. I lay down on my bed and stared at the ceiling. Sleep didn’t come easily. Every time I closed my eyes… I saw that battlefield again. Eventually… exhaustion won and I fell asleep. The gates of the Guild opened as Lila walked inside. Torches burned along the stone walls. Warriors hurried from one building to another. The entire Guild was awake. Word had already spread. Deucalion had entered Beacon Hills. That alone was enough to put everyone on edge.

“How do you expect me to get to the Thaumaturgy Guild with these tiny legs of mine?” “Come on already!” I replied, refusing to turn around. “I've also got the Beast Guild to head to.” The rest of the day went well. After dropping Jessica at the Thaumaturgy Guild, I headed straight for the Beast Guild where I got registered and attended my first class.

Both started giggling and went on to freshen up and like this few days passed, Every day Leo would spar with Jenny, not once could he beat her, she was that strong. After a week Leo could see all the 500 positions in the Guild were filled and he called Rosy and Anne to the city and informed everyone in the Guild chat, "This is your captain Leo speaking and i would officially like to welcome all the new members of the Guild and everyone is invited in the underground City Mumba tommorow as there is a small celebration for the new people and an exciting announcement so it is compulsory required for everyone of the Guild Members to attend." Leo ended the notification and the next day everyone ca

I wanted to keep my hand clear of this kind of thing, because I believe that every woman that hails from Maiden Units and those who have their own positions in the hierarchy, surely able to handle such things as harassment themselves, but if their actions somewhat make a certain people react to it, by all means I will stand and support my girls. As we were talking we stopped before a large door that are situated at the farthest end of the hall, Thee door was opened and both of us enter the room. Instantly there’s 3 familiar faces that I recognize from before. It was the guild master of the 3 main guild, Carn Furry the Merchant Guild, Alphonse Gilbert The Mercenary Guild and Kennedy Stein of

The air was heavy with salt and lamp-smoke, with sweat and fear that no ventilation shaft could scrub clean. Every sound carried too far. A cough on the far side of the chamber felt like it was in Killian’s ear. A muttered word might as well have been shouted. The Guild was packed tight: mercenaries sharpening blades until sparks flew, thieves whispering over smuggled escape routes, blood mages mixing draughts of stolen vitae into iron cups. And through it all, suspicion hung like a noose.

At the far end of the hall, their new neighbor’s door was cracked open—just enough to spill voice, laughter, and music into the hallway like an invitation and a warning at the same time. Her mother sighed. “Oh great. Party neighbors.” Ruby wasn’t listening. Her eyes had caught something—someone. A boy stepped out onto the balcony next door, the one directly connected by only a narrow wall to the balcony of their new apartment. The dying sunlight caught him perfectly: messy black hair, silver chain glinting, a confident, careless way he leaned over the railing. He laughed at something someone said behind him, but his eyes slid up for a split second—meeting Ruby’s.

I walked behind Miss Feline as we made our way to the guild master's room, which seemed to be on the second floor. I couldn't find an answer as I pondered why the guild master would call me personally. I haven't even seen or met the guild master before. Usually, a guild master would summon an adventurer when they achieve something significant. But I don't feel like I've accomplished anything noteworthy recently. Instead, I've encountered some trouble right from the beginning of my journey as an adventurer. After a while, I arrived in front of a room located at the far end of the second floor. Miss Feline opened the door and gestured for me to enter.

It was almost imperceptible, but I could almost feel Nicholas’s grip on my waist tighten. “We have made our decision,” Chairman Kieran said. “And the newest member of the guild is…” The room seemed to hold its breath. Nicholas pulled me closer, and my heart pounded so hard I almost couldn’t hear over it. “Alpha Nicholas.”
