Greyer Pack revelled raucously over arrival of new Luna whilst Daisy stewed quietly in bitter resentment festering deep inside her own soul. "I mean," Daisy said, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, "that if you want to destroy someone, you need to get close enough to see their weaknesses, to learn their secrets, to find the chink in their armor. “Don't tell me you're planning to become friends with Luna?" Mia questioned. “She's not Luna yet, only mates," Daisy yelled frustrated. "Cassie would soon be out of the picture.”

Her strikes connected with precision, each blow weakening Darius's defenses. But just as they thought victory was within reach, Darius unleashed a sinister power, shrouding himself in darkness. Luna felt a chill run down her spine as she faced the formidable enemy before her. "No, Luna!" Lycan bellowed, fear and desperation lacing his voice. "Be careful!" Darius lunged at Luna with unparalleled speed, his claws aimed at her heart. But Luna, empowered by the Celestial Garden, summoned a shield of blinding light, blocking the attack and sending Darius reeling back.

She was about to call a maid to ask who was occupying the room but when she heard that annoying, sinister giggle, she paused and gestured to the maid she had called to go. " Daria. It's nice to see you again." The feminine voice said and she turned around to see a woman who with makeup looked like a lady. Her face was all cakes up with makeup and like her, her black hair which was braided dangled behind her. " Who's this?" My voice was a plea, saturated with an aching nostalgia. Luna's head tilted, her expression caught somewhere between curiosity and disdain. "The Luna you know is dead." Her voice was unyielding, and with a flick of her wrist, a ball of black magic shot toward me. I barely evaded the blast, the energy searing the space where I had stood. "Brax!" Seb's voice cut through the madness, forcing focus amidst the chaos. "We need you to keep her busy, to distract her. Daisy needs to get close enough."

She took a bold step forward. "If you wish to insult me, so be it," Daisy said, her voice steady despite the quiver in her hands. "But you dare insult Lady Rhea?" “Oh?” Hera’s lips curled with mock amusement. “I’m merely speaking the truth.” Her eyes flicked to me, cold and cutting. “And who is this omega, anyway?” Daisy didn’t hesitate. “The future Luna of Nightspire!” Slap! The sound cracked through the air like a whip. Hera’s hand flew out so quickly that the strike seemed to come from nowhere. Daisy staggered, her face snapping to the side as the echo of the blow lingered in the sudden, heavy silence.

Grabbing my laptop, I had everything I needed at my fingertips. After looking through P*******t to find the image I wanted, it was just a matter of looking for it. The theme for my luna ceremony was going to be Dripping in Love. Everything will be white and silver. Diamonds and flowers will cover the whole thing. With feathers and Edison lights, this was going to be screaming money. Piercy said a 100 grand… Looking through our storage inventory, we had spandex white table clothes. Tall glass vases and some feathers. I’d have to go down there and look. “Brittany? Can you come to my room?”

The darkness lasted only a few seconds. But to Luna, it felt like an eternity. Then the moon returned. Except it wasn't the moon she knew. It was enormous. Red. Hanging low over the valley like a burning eye. Luna stood at the mansion entrance, staring at the army gathered below. The Blood Queen stood at the center. Her black crown reflected the red light. Around her were wolves, witches, and creatures Luna had never seen before. Kael stood beside Luna.

Daisy goes through them like a bunch of flies. I am caught off guard when Rosan throws the spear at me. Daisy whimpers, convulsions taking over me. I can feel the hind legs getting numb and soon I can’t feel them at all. An excruciating pain hits me when she pulls the spear out. She laughs loudly, a sound of pure evil. “So, this is the mighty Luna Xena,” she sneers and laughs again. “You will die at my hands. I will avenge my mother. I will be the greatest witch there ever was.”

' Cade continued almost like he was reading my mind. 'If anything does happen to me here. Tessa is the Luna. She will still be the Luna.' I command. I was serious about that. She would be a fantastic Luna. She was so compassionate towards other people. 'They already know that. But we'll back her up.' Cade assured me. I then faced ahead and ran like there was no tomorrow. We didn't stop until we got to the boarder of the Blood Moon Pack. We didn't see any patrols but that didn't mean that they weren't there.
