STEP CLOSER, MY STEP BROTHER
It seeps out, and you’re thirsty all over again.
I sip my wine, the red liquid staining my lips, and imagine them. Roman’s arms around Ariana. Their laughter. Their whispered promises. Their perfect little life. It makes me want to shatter the glass in my hand, carve their names into my skin just so I don’t forget why I wake up every morning choking on hate.
I hate them. I hate them so much it hurts.
But do I regret it?
No.
I could never regret hating them.
Because hate is all I have left. Hate is my fuel, my fire, my reason to breathe. If I let it go, I’d have nothing. Just another lonely woman in Paris, surrounded by riches but empty inside.
