Chapter Twelve The rain had been relentless all Friday. Sheets of water fell from the sky, drumming against windows and rooftops, as if the heavens themselves were mourning or warning. Nora sat in the art studio, trying desperately to focus on her presentation, but her brush hovered uselessly over the canvas. The colours and lines felt meaningless. Every stroke of paint blurred, smudged by the storm of emotions inside her.

Rosy hugged her tight despite the fact that Abigail couldn’t feel that. “Take care. And lead a happy life,” Rosy whispered in her eyes. “Come back,” Abigail begged as tears spilled out of her eyes. “I am at peace in heaven. Let me be there,” she said. Abigail doesn’t know what to say. She stood silent. And in seconds she disappeared. Abigail cried for a while before she calmed down.

She had seen it all before but this time, it wasn't just in the walls of a temple, it was real. She was living it.
