The Heir I Refused To Bear Novels & Stories

His grandfather was one of the reasons he stayed away from the stark wealthy. "Well from now on, I've been appointed as your secretary by your grandfather, Mr Stark?" Dawn said with a smile. Arthur flashed a brief smile at Dawn, and looked through the window. Now he was having second thoughts about going back home. His grandfather was someone he wanted nothing to do with, because he was the reason his parents died. But he had no choice but to go back, since he was the only heir of the Stark consortium, his dad would want him to inherit it.

The finality in the statement was absolute. “And if I refuse?” Adrian asked quietly. The old man’s gaze did not soften. “Then you are no longer my heir.” The words hung like a guillotine. Both men understood what was truly being said. It was an option to choose legacy or lose family. Adrian’s chest rose and fell once, sharply. “You’re forcing me into a cage.” “I’m forcing you into responsibility.” The room fell into a long, loaded silence. Adrian felt cornered by his own blood,by time and by a woman he despised. He could not marry her. He would not. But three weeks was not enough to rewrite fate. He turned toward the door without another word.

I ignored the tension in my chest and sat across from the man who called himself my father. "How did you end up marked like that, Aria?" Dominic’s eyes narrowed, searching for a sign of weakness. "Oh, just a stray dog knocking over my drink," I offered a relaxed, dangerous smile. Dominic shook his head, his irritation bubbling. "You’re a lethal strategist on the ice and in the courtroom, but in your personal life, you’re a complete disaster. Listen, your rejection of the Draven heir is a mess I'm still cleaning up. I’ve already moved your wedding tribute to the vault. Am I actually going to see you mated next year, or are you planning to remain a lone wolf?"

KARIN An heir. Not a child. Not our baby. An heir meant for the great Alpha Rowan Kincaid. Another symbol of power. Another possession meant to strengthen his name and bloodline. "Does he know?" The words barely made it past my lips. My throat felt tight, like even sound was dangerous.

My feet found the ground, trembling but planted. The crowd gasped. Chase's eyes went wide with something I'd never seen on him before — fear, raw and unguarded. My legs shook violently. My teeth ground against each other so hard I tasted blood. And underneath the pain, something else stirred — dark, cruel, and utterly intoxicating. Revenge. "And I—" My voice cracked, stammering through the agony. "I, Ophilia of the Makasi Moon Pack — refuse to accept the Alpha's rejection."

"From the very beginning, the heir was the one in Stella's belly!" "This was just an unacknowledged bastard, a creature no one wanted. Why should he have been born?" "So he could live his life branded as a 'mutt'?" I was a walking corpse, shuffling toward the future Don, leaving a trail of scarlet on the floor. Each step left a bloody footprint, a gruesome trail of what we had lost. I stopped right in front of him and asked, my voice devoid of emotion. "Tell me, who was ever looking forward to the birth of the true Gallo heir?"

I want to scream at the top of my lungs but unfortunately, my voice is as faint as the droplets of water on leaves. I watched as a smug smirk formed on the corner of his lips, my heart breaking into a million pieces as my enemy triumphed over my pain. He then stride towards a cloth, using it to wipe his bloody palm, he didn't give me a reply; not yet. Finally, after what feels like an eternity of moments, he speaks up. “You would bear my heir” he replies as though it's the most casual thing to say. “And your opinion is irrelevant” As he says those words, my eyes widen, my blood growing cold. What?

“You don’t get to decide for me.” He ignored my protest, “Now that I know one of my children is still alive, things have changed completely from here henceforth.” I stared at him. “What the hell do you mean?” “I have you as my heir.” The certainty in his voice made my skin crawl. “You’ll remain here. You’ll learn what it means to be part of this club. Eventually, you’ll take my place.” I shook my head. “Over my dead body.” He continued as though I hadn’t spoken. “And you’re carrying a child. My grandchild.”

“He wants you back as the heir, but there are many clauses to this. Firstly, since you lived in hiding, you lack the basic skills of a warrior and one of the major qualities of being an heir is what you lack” “If you come with us, you would undergo training and if you can hone your skills, you would take over immediately” My stomach tied a knot and their words intensified my anger as I stared at them in disbelief. Quinn continued. “Uncle wants you to know that you are his perfect late bloomer, and he loves you so much. But, there is also another clause to all of this” “If you want to take the position of the heir, you have to abandon your children”

“You have one month to meet her before the engagement is formalised. After the wedding you will immediately begin trying for heirs. That is not a request.” “I will not build the same wreckage you built and call it a home.” My voice comes out quiet and absolutely final. “I refuse to look at a woman as a vessel for heirs and a strategy for political alliances. I refuse to bring a child into this family to continue the same cycle of control and resentment that I grew up inside.” I look at him directly. “The Hale bloodline ends with me. That decision was made a long time ago and nothing you arrange or threaten or demand is going to change it.”
