“Mommy, look! The water’s blue like candy!”
I smiled, brushing a strand of hair away from her face. “Bluer than candy, sweetheart.”
Sebastian came up behind us, his hand resting lightly at my back as he looked out over the horizon. “Welcome to Isla Aurea,” he said softly. “No signal. No noise. Just peace.”
“Peace sounds… perfect,” I murmured, eyes tracing the curve of the shoreline.
The yacht anchored just off the beach, and within minutes, a small boat carried us ashore. The sand was warm beneath my feet, soft and powdery. Amara immediately started running in uneven circles, her laughter echoing over the sound of the waves.
