The Housemaid Sequel Novels & Stories

Nonetheless, he was a nice, kind man. After attending to him, I went on with my other duties. The schedule went on for days, the mansion seemed so quiet and the other maids were strangely odd. A week passed and still, the young master hadn't returned home. Not like I care though, I prefer him not in the mansion so I could feel at ease. “Hey, you!” I turned to see Marissa calling from the opposite direction with Mary and Brittney, more like side slaves for Marissa. What do these cockroaches want? Here goes nothing.

With happy heart Emily stepped into the area of the house that looked very quiet. Emily gulped, how could she possible be able to clean every corner of this house by herself? When the main door opened, Emily was even more surprised to find several housemaids doing their jobs. If the specter family had this many servants, why would they want to hire a employees for such high fee? Emily began to feel strange. "You are Emily Clark ?" a middle aged maidservant greeted her expressionlessly. Emily nodded her head. "Fellow me," said the maid servant as she walked straight ahead, while Emily followed her awkwardly.

Her vision blurred, and everything went dark. #Flashback Off *** The cold night air bit into Cordelia’s body as she ran, every step sending pain through her bare feet. Each second felt like another test, but she pressed on, aiming for the home she hoped would offer just a little comfort. When she finally reached her house, Cordelia grabbed the door handle with trembling hands. She pushed inside, struggling to catch her breath. Waiting in the living room sat Brittany—her stepmother—alongside Veronica, her stepsister.

Avoid the housekeeper and escape the room that still reeked of lavender and passive-aggression. “She’s always around when things go missing,” hissed the housekeeper to another maid nearby. “Mark my words. She may be the bride, but she’s not above pilfering.” Alika stifled a groan. She wasn’t poor. She just… didn’t grow up with gold forks and embroidered napkins. Also, she definitely didn’t take the spoon. Probably. She tiptoed backward—and crashed directly into something hard and very, very shirtless. A low grunt met her ears.

I couldn’t afford to lose another friend. --- The next day, one of the senior maids approached me with a task. “She was supposed to clean it,” the chief maid said, pointing at the girl next to her, “but something came up. Help her out. Here’s the key to the last room in the east wing. Be quick, and make sure it’s spotless.” I blinked. “Whose room is it?” “Sebastian’s.” My heart skipped. The young master’s room? But I heard he wasn’t around. Maybe he left again?

"You're way too beautiful to be a maid, dear." I smiled, not looking up from the window I was scrubbing, "Mrs. Beatrice, that's the third time you are saying this today." "Because it's true three times over." Mrs Beatrice, the woman I now worked for as a personal maid, settled deeper into her armchair, the wood creaking under her weight. "A girl with a face like yours should be married to some wealthy merchant, not on her knees scrubbing floors."

It turned out that the old woman was a leech, sucking the wealth of a dying old man after being thrown away by her mother. It was only recently that her mother discovered that the old woman was bribing their housemaids as spies in the mansion. Her mother had cleaned the spies out but there were some who stayed hidden. Jewel dialed a number. "Hello, fire this maid," she said and told the other line about the maid who followed her earlier, before she shook her head and continued walking towards the Aisle. "Senyorita, here!" A Sacada called, waving a hand at her.

Before she leaves, I call out, “Hey, what’s your name?” “My name is Quinn Austin, but you can call me Mrs. Austin. I’m the head housemaid here.” She looks me up and down, taking in my plain wedding dress. I know she feels sorry for me, for seeing those discarded clothes and probably realizing that my husband might be upstairs, in bed with another woman, right after our wedding. “Mrs. Austin,” I say, nodding politely, despite my racing heart. “Can you show me to my room?” Mrs. Austin, a woman in her late forties, nods with a carefully blank expression, years of working for Ethan Caine must have taught her that. “This way, Mrs. Caine.”

I immediately started to pack my bags so I won’t forget anything I would need in the house, since I would be living there,I need to take most of my necessities with me,and not forget things that are so important to me.
