The Hunting Party Novels & Stories

Poor kid. I tune Jacob and Andrew out as they continue to bicker about a life that feels so far in the past I can barely conjure the memory of it. Young, free, and wild. I don’t feel so young, or so free, right now. Not as I scan the groups diligently preparing for what I thought was going to be a night spent as wolves, hunting for deer and elk under the light of a nearly full moon. This is going to be a lot more than that based on the way the hunters are sharpening blades and examining spears before fixing them to halters worn across their chests and backs.

Cain and Maddie were nearby, their faces alight with a cruel, eager kind of excitement. Caius and Sylvia led the party. “The great stag of these woods has been seen,” Caius announced, his voice carrying. “A noble prize for a noble guest.” We pushed deeper. The trees closed in. The perfect place for an “accident.” Then, the horns sounded. The stag had been flushed. Chaos erupted the thunder of hooves, the shouting of hunters, the baying of hounds. It was the chaos they’d wanted. “Stay with me!” Thorne barked over the noise, his horse pressing closer to mine.

Luna, her pregnancy not hindering her spirit, prepared with the pack for the essential hunt. In the Nampa forest, hunting wasn't just about the thrill of the chase; it was a sacred act, deeply rooted in the pack's respect for their enchanted home. They hunted only what they needed, ensuring the delicate balance of their realm remained undisturbed. Luna, with her keen eyes and agile movements, exemplified this reverence for the forest.

Away they went. Three hours had elapsed, yet the tournament raged on. The Red Moon pack held its lead, though the Dark of the Gods pack was a close second. In the third game, referred to as the hunt, both teams would venture into the woods together with ropes for hiding and seeking. The hunt begins with a gunshot once they've found their hiding place. Whoever gets tired will lose, and the winner will have to bring the loser to the front to see everyone in the crowd. When it was Dawn turn, she wasted no time finding a place to hide. Her familiarity with the area allowed her to pinpoint the best hiding places. What excited her most about the hunting game was competing against Malachi, her best

He had no idea what I would answer this question with, but I assume it surprised him that I didn't make something up. “Well the Hunting community in Maine is rather large, you wouldn't be sorry if you made a trip up there.” He replied. “I'll keep that in mind.” I said with a smile. “Do you want to dance?” He asked as a slow song came on. I wanted to say no, but something was pushing me to say yes instead.

The police had to get involved, there were two police cars out the front of the diner. Ducking under the police tape, Damien stepped into his diner, he was feared by everyone, humans, wolves and vampires alike, he was known as the Blood Alpha and that was not just because Blood is his surname. Her sent hit him sending him into a short sense of euphoria, he had finally found her his mate after, eighteen years of searching he had finally found her.

Everyone was happy, and it relaxed me. My audience was large today as we gathered in the conference room. The Hunters Parade consisted of ten packs competing against each other in a hunt. There was a portion of my land that was reserved for hunting. This was one of the sports to influence cross-pack inter-relations among us. Anyone who has had warrior training may participate, given that their Alpha permits them to join the hunting team. Each team consisted of six individuals. Alphas, Betas, Gammas, and Elites oversaw the event.

at the latest, but I stayed up too late last night finishing the final edits for my most recent video for my YouTube channel, Hunting for Midnight. Hunting for Midnight is a dream come true for me. The channel focuses on traveling the country where I document, interview people, search for, and record paranormal experiences and events. I investigate whether there is real paranormal activity occurring or if the disturbances are actually caused by natural events and circumstances. As of to date, I have yet to uncover single true evidence-based paranormal event. For the last four years I’ve spent investigating and documenting suspected paranormal events, there’s always logical and scientific evi

With a mischievous glint in his eyes, he made his way to the training ground, where his loyal companions awaited him. Robin, Adonis, and Ethan stood at attention, their faces eager and ready for whatever awaited them. Leori smiled, his presence commanding yet friendly. "My friends," he began, "today, we embark on a hunting expedition. We shall venture deep into the woods, seeking thrill and bounty. Are you with me?"

The weight of expectations rested upon his broad shoulders, but he embraced the challenge with a steadfast spirit. As the sun ascended to its zenith, the horns resounded through the kingdom, signaling the commencement of the hunt. A wave of excitement surged through the crowd, and hunters scattered like dappled shadows, disappearing into the depths of the enchanted forest. Their steps were hushed, a whispered dance upon moss-laden paths, as they embarked on a quest that would test their mettle and courage.
