"Now, let's get started." I pick up the coin and hold it tightly in my hand. I start to recite the incantation, the words flowing from my mouth like a river. Evelina's screams fill the room, but I don't stop. I can feel the power of the coin coursing through me, and I know that once the portal is open, I'll be able to summon the ghoul and make it mine. Wind whips around the room, making it almost impossible to hear my voice. Evelina goes limp, her head rolling to one side. There's a big flash of light and then everything stops.

The others followed behind. Lore followed them to the mouth of the cave, but stopped on the precipice. He looked down at the swirling waves, then up to the stream of Immortalists illuminated by the moonlight. It was a beautiful sight. He smiled to himself, realizing that the human weakness for love and emotion was to be their downfall. The Immortalists would live forever. They would reign over the Earth. “Didn’t I tell you?” Octal’s voice came from beside him. “Our destiny is written in the stars. What is meant to be will be.”

Her voice was filled with shock. It was known that outside the Godly Region, there was a wider world of void. It was said that after the Pangu split the universe open, there were many powerful immortals who jumped out of the Godly Region and cultivated at places outside of the Nine Mainland. Therefore, they were called the Immortals. They were omnipotent and much stronger than the gods in the Godly Region. However, these immortals were indifferent to fame and fortune and focused on cultivation as they never participated in the matters of the Godly Region or humans.

'That's what I can't think of especially and they are both immortals and kings. Stefano grinned at me. "You don't seem to be from Wysteria because there's so much you don't know. But I'll tell you anyway. Elijah was the first immortal created," he replied to me as my eyes widened. "Really?!" I felt like my brain was about to explode. The paintings inside that room say everything. If he was alive when the Vikings still existed, I wouldn't be surprised if he was alive during the time of the ancient Romans!

Aiden leaned back and thought for a long time, brows furrowed. “Why do you ask?” Caitlin finally asked, becoming concerned herself by his expression. “I think there may be another force at play here,” Aiden finally said. “What do you mean?” Caitlin asked. Aiden sighed. “There is a prophecy that, when the last vampire on earth surfaces, the Immortalists would die.” “Immortalists?” Caleb asked. Aiden nodded. “An ancient race of legend, a race destined to live precisely two thousand years old. Not quite immortal—a misnomer, if you will. But they have the ability to be immortal, to extend their lifetimes forever. They need the last vampire to continue living….”

The five surviving immortals were astonished to see another of their comrades perishing. They had not expected for those as mighty as them to be killed by an ordinary gun-wielding mortal. "After him!" "Get him!" "Attack!" The immortals were outraged. They soared into the air and transformed into streaks of light that headed right for Adrian. All five of them attacked simultaneously in an attempt to defeat him in a single blow. Adrian reacted quickly, dashing into the zombie guard ranks as the immortals charged at him. He crouched and crept past the zombies to avoid detection, and the five immortals lost sight of him.

she smiled and looked straight into my eyes. "They think so?" I frowned and was flattered. Well, I won't deny that. My hands just naturally moved into fighting whenever faced with danger. "It's not surprising, though." The old woman heaved a deep sigh. "Long time ago, the immortals live separately from anyone in this world. They were maybe living independently but everybody respects them, not only because they are powerful but also they are good and generous people," she looked at me. "But everything changed, there's one kingdom who seized them out of greediness."
