The League of Rogues

The League of Rogues

Zehra blinked in shock at being called Lawrence's wife, but she knew he had to do it to avoid scandal and for that she was grateful. The portly gentleman chuckled. "Picnic ruined? You're not the first. All sorts of lads and lasses came in here soaked to the bone. Lucky for you I've got one room left." The man, clearly Irish by his accent, retrieved a single brass key hanging on the last peg on the wall and handed it over. "Thank you. Could we have two hot meals and a bath prepared?" "Of course." The innkeeper whistled at a pair of young boys behind the bar. "Follow this gent and lady to room four and heat them up some water."

THE ARCHIVISTS PAWN: REBIRTH OF THE BURIED QUEEN

THE ARCHIVISTS PAWN: REBIRTH OF THE BURIED QUEEN

Inside, the air was thick with the smell of cheap ale and unwashed bodies. The innkeeper, a man with one eye and a permanent scowl, nearly fell over himself when he saw Kaelen’s black armor and my fine velvet dress. "Rooms! Yes, yes, Your Grace! But... we’ve had a surge of travelers escaping the storm. I only have one room left with a working fireplace. The others are... well, they’re little more than sheds with straw." Kaelen looked at me, then back at the innkeeper. "We’ll take the room. My men will sleep in the common hall."

The Mage's Heart

The Mage's Heart

“My wife and I were hoping for a room for the night?” “Welcome my lord,” a man separated himself from the huddle of others, wiping his hands upon a stained apron. He was a handsome man, unlike the innkeeper at Nedin, and young. The sort of man, I thought, that the village girls would swoon over. “I am the innkeeper here. We certainly have room for your wife and yourself.”

A brilliant adult fairy tale! Dark romance, fairies, sirens, mages, dragons, dark elves, mermaids, trolls, imps, spells, and quests. I loved it, an action packed adventure from beginning to end. Folk lore and fae stories truly came alive, I fell in love with the characters and got lost in the story.

My little fierce mate

My little fierce mate

The hallway smelled like alcohol and cheap perfume. Halfway through, I changed my mind. I couldn’t walk all the way barefoot — my pride wasn’t that strong. So I went downstairs to the counter where the innkeeper was hunched over a ledger. His pen scratched lazily across the paper until he looked up and found me standing there awkwardly. We stared at each other for what felt like thirty seconds straight before he sighed. “What do you want, kid?” Thank the Moon Goddess — he broke the silence first. “Uh, sorry, sir. I know this is weird, but do you have any spare slippers or sandals?”

The Last Descendant: The Lost Son

The Last Descendant: The Lost Son

There was a pause in the air that had seem too stiffen, as if there was no life any where before dying down. As the inn keeper got up, X had seen she had mostly grey hair mixed with little bit of a faded black. Light signs of wrinkles we visible due to smiling or frowning. After meeting her X was still unsure of the cause. It was when she had fully stood up that he jumped in disbelief, the color of her eyes were purple. “Before you ask me anything, it is rude to question your host, especially that you are staying here with out any payment. I only asked what you were seeking, not what sparked you curiosity with me. However, if you would have asked that instead I would have indulged.” Smirked

Her eyesight was weaker at night time. “Yes! Papa is also here!” “Nice. Come inside,” she stepped ahead as she wanted them to come inside. She was very fond of having and treating her guests. Hazel and Adam were ready to walk inside but Christian stayed rooted to his place, staring at the lady. Hazel did not want him to delay at the door so she held his hand and pulled him inside before closing the door after them.

Two Alphas And A Lie

Two Alphas And A Lie

By now, all the creatures that resided there were home and preparing for bed, the polar opposite of the dark market. Windows shone brightly with candlelight and I could make out shadows through them, moving about preparing for their night. We finally arrived at a large inn just on the outskirts of town with a simple sign that read, "Sleep In." A lazy-looking tengu woman manned the desk. She looked bored and like she didn’t want to be bothered as we made our way towards her. "How can I help you?" She asked, eyeing us warily. "I’ve got a room booked for Asher." Asher responded calmly.

Destined to Save the Cursed Alpha

Destined to Save the Cursed Alpha

"Both of them. Functional." "Then they'll still be there when you need them." She glared at me over my shoulder the entire distance to the door. I found the glare considerably more interesting than the alternative. 'You're smiling,' Draven said. I was not smiling. The innkeeper informed us, with the expression of a man who'd already calculated his risk, that one suitable room remained. Anaiyah looked at me. I looked at the innkeeper. The innkeeper appeared to wish he'd chosen another profession.

Gunnar

Gunnar

But if Gunnar was going to force me to be his PA after everything he knew, I was going to make him regret it once we landed in NYC again. A gentle knock sounded at the door. Thinking it was probably Jaxon, I hurried to answer, except standing there was one of the hotel staff with a strained smile on his face. He cleared his throat before stammering out, "Mr. Astor re-requests your presence i-in his ro-room." It was final, Gunnar was probably a demon from hell sent to torture the human race.

This book is a must read. I couldn't put this book down. The characters are very realistic and the story line is something you can actually see happening in real life; especially when you have a dysfunctional family. This book is full of humor as well. I absolutely loved it.

Loved is actually an understatement. One of the best stories I have ever read. Just finished Ace (freaking amazing, loved just as much) and going to finish this binge reading by reading Jericho. Worth reading all night, who needs sleep when you have these outstanding characters keeping you company!

Alpha’s Bewitching Regret

Alpha’s Bewitching Regret

The innkeeper conveniently forgot that he only gave the poor boy bread and butter causing the latter to hunt in the forest. As soon as he was finished putting the firewood in the boiler, he stood up and turned the knob of the pipeline which belonged to Logan’s room. He turned to walk up the stairs but before he could step up the stairs, the door of the boiler room opened. At first, the innkeeper thought that it was his servant boy but he only saw the shadow of the figure standing in front of him and from the looks of it he could see that the figure had long hair which his servant boy did not have.

it's a great book so far and I can't wait to see how it ends. There are some grammar corrections that need to be made but they are not to where you can't understand the book. the book is quite long and it's the second longest book that I've read. I was disappointed that a couple of chapters are

I really liked the start of the book but started flipping through chapters and there’s a lot of filler chapters saying the same thing and honestly 700 chapters is way too much..the story line is good but waiting for something to happen made me move on to a different story
