Promise crouched lower by the stream after Daniel left, her reflection rippling on the water’s surface. For the first time, she studied herself not just as a girl in a village, but as someone bound by invisible strings. Her heartbeat was loud, unsteady, almost as if it wanted to escape before her body could. She pressed a trembling hand to her chest and whispered, “Is this who I am? A secret they wrote before I even learned to speak?”

The gray-coated man quietly whispered, "It remembers you." Adrian stopped. "I've never seen this book." The stranger looked into his eyes. "No." "But it has seen you." A low hum filled the island. The first page slowly turned by itself. The second page... was completely blank. Not a single word. Not a single mark. Only a tiny sentence appeared at the bottom. Place your hand here. The First Reader immediately raised his voice. "Don't." "If the book accepts you..." "...there will be no turning back."

I stood up as if my limbs were being controlled by invisible strings, and I couldn't stop myself. Step by step, I walked out of my chambers, through the quiet corridors of the castle, and straight out into the dark night. I fought against my own muscles, trying to stop, but I couldn't stop. I held the pendant in between my hands and closed my eyes to reverse the spell which was making me go invisible, I wanted to be visible for the next part of my plan and the spell worked exactly I thought it would and I was visible again for the naked eyes of people. The next part of my plan needed a cellphone And I had mine right next to me carefully kept on a table. I picked the cell phone from the table and dial the number from the keypad, that number belonged to Elvin. The dial tone started ringing from the other side of the phone and as expected the phone was answered within seconds and it was his voice on the other side which I was hearing after days.
