The Jackal Red Rising Novels & Stories

I said. "We will Fer, we are finally getting our chance. We are gonna make it," Rebel said. "Come on now, don't make me emotional. Time for group hug," Mike said almost emotional and all embarrassed for being the emotional one. He is not not emotional but atleast more sensitive than others.

It only got louder and louder like a heartbeat pounding in my ear. I felt fear but I didn't know why. I felt like waiting and crying but I couldn't open my mouth. "They are coming, its rising, your almost out of time," it cried louder in pain. The darkness blinked and the horrific image of dead bodies flashed before my eyes. They were laid out in a strange way, blood dripping from their bodies and into the soil…deep into the soil. Red eyes watched me from the shadows. "Their coming," I screamed as I jolted awake.

Soheila raised her hand and lifted the 'Jacks' to the air. Watching three important figures of the Eudoxsus Clan made them tremble and fear Soheila. Jackarie is a Cyan Rank Advance level, Jackie is at Green Rank Peak level close to Blue Rank Novice Level, and Jack is a Green Rank Peak level as well. Yet, Soheila could lift them at the same time without bathing an air. She looks so calm and relaxed when she lifted them. They were no struggling emotion on her face.

Rollo perked up, waiting for Jack’s answer. “No. Why?” Beta Jack was clearly confused. “On my run today, I ran along the creek. I came upon a wolf. I didn’t recognize the scent and I didn’t recognize the wolf’s eyes when I looked into them. The wolf was a red wolf. She was absolutely beautiful. Her scent was intoxicating. I felt so at peace when I was sitting with her.” I shook my head, realizing that I must sound completely sappy as I talk with Jack.

Charlotte’s POV I could not believe that Jack was paying for my tattoos with a blood Harley. I know nothing about bikes, but from the way that Reece looked like he was about to cry I was guessing it was a good one. I tried to hold my breath as Jack lifted me into the car. His hand went to my arse again and I had to hold in my moan. What the hell was this man trying to do to me. Once we were all in the car Jacks phone pinged. I was so used to his phone always going off that I did not think anything off it until he started to curse.

“You never dealt with him directly, did you? Your brother Garth did, though. Through an intermediary named Hector Lyonell.” Both Christina and Charles went absolutely white. Raven felt her eyes widen. “Professionally,” started Kade, “he goes by The Jackal.” Christina shot out of her chair. “What do you think this proves? I don’t even know this man!” “But I know you,” said the Jackal. He sounded perfectly calm, perfectly pleasant. “More importantly, I know quite a few people very high up in the judicial system. My client base is… extensive and exclusive to say the least. They won’t need proof to put you away. Only a suggestion from me that they had better do it, to prevent some of their own u

He scoffed. “The Stone Lake pack is moving forward, and we will now be, hopefully, with the training of the RedFang’s, become one of the strongest packs. They will also be helping with our pack’s income.” I explained. Bruce rubbed his face, got up and turned to walk out. “I do hope you are telling me the truth that you don’t know where Rylen is. We will find him, and he will be punished as a traitor to the Stone Lake pack. Anyone we find that has aide him will be punished as a traitor as well. That was suggested by the Counsel, not sure if he’d even make it that far, Ryder is ready to rip him apart, brother or not.” I sighed.

Exhaustion hit me hard, pulling me under, and I didn’t even try to stop the tears streaming down my face as I drifted off. The next morning, I woke to the sound of birds chirping and small animals scurrying through the underbrush. I had nothing with me—no food, no supplies—just me and my wolf. I’d have to rely on her to get through this. I slid down from the tree, landing softly on the ground, and took a deep breath. “Alright, Alexa,” I murmured to my wolf through our mindlink, “let’s do this.” It was our first shift, and I braced myself for the pain everyone always talked about—the cracking bones, the tearing muscles. But it never came. Instead, in one smooth motion, my body changed. Where
