Evander glared at both men standing behind him. Have they lost their minds? They have been on this journey all yesterday and not once do they mention to him whom they were after. Only now that they had entered into the Gates. Damon stood with his head bowed and so did Erin. "Erin?" he asked the other. "Don't call me. He is the one with the dreams, not me!" "What dreams?" Evander asked Damon. "He's been seeing the King in his dreams since the day I met him." "Every girl desires the King so they dream of him. Maybe it's the same with you." Evander reasoned.

And I doubted I’d know how to properly hold a sword if anyone had the insanity to hand me a blade. There were people too—complete strangers—I encountered in these dreams. One was a strict, old king, or at least I assumed he was a king. He sat on a throne with a crown wreathing his bald head. His beard was thick and craggy with streaks of white in the dark strands. He glared at me, telling me how worthless I was, that I only caused death and destruction, and then he cast me from his army. It always felt as if my heart were shattering when he repeated those words to me, dream after dream.

Doctor William says with an uninterested face, banging out of nowhere. "Whatever you say. I am tired of explaining details today. Can you keep your idea to yourself first?" Minister Kingsley shrugs in irritation while doctor William grits his teeth and rolls his eyes. "How's the King?" Minister Kingsley inquires while staring blankly at the space. "He is still trapped in his dreams-- as usual." Doctor William's gaze swift to the man next to the Minister, his blood-like eyes hypnotize doctor William. The Grand Duke steps forward to check the King on his bed. He notices the room is dark, lonely in the air.

What was that about? I took a deep breath and began gathering my thoughts. "Then, ask me anything you want, Your Majesty." The king's expression softened, and he leaned forward slightly, making the conversation feel more personal. "I have been thinking ever since last night. Your blue eyes, your pale skin, and golden locks... All of those features seemed too uncommon for the people in my kingdom. You can barely see anyone even with lighter hair. And almost everyone's eye colors are dark. But yours... Perhaps... Do you hail from another kingdom? Are you a spy planted here to give away my kingdom's weakness?" King Lucian smirked knowingly, hoping to get the response he wanted from me.

A smile soon rising along my lips as I continued to admire my mate. “Good Morning little one, sleep well?” “If you mean with zero dreams then yes… I did sleep well.” A frown instantly rising at the mention of dream. But Justus said he was told to stay with me, so I persuaded him to talk about my wings. "If you think I'd give you the location of your wings you're delusional.
