The Lake House Novels & Stories

She laughed as she turned up the radio After about fifteen minutes we pulled into a long driveway near the lake my family had gone to a few times when I was a kid. The house at the end of the drive was absolutely gorgeous and directly on the water. It was modern with dark wood and slate covering the outside and bay windows giving us a peek inside. "Oh my god this is such a beautiful lake house." I mumbled out still taking in the beauty of the place She grinned over at me "I'm glad you like it, it's ours until tomorrow at five."

I asked, starting to get nervous. "You'll see.." he was still focusing on the road. Then suddenly I saw a lake and there was also a house, with lots of windows. There were yellow lights surrounding the house. The lake sparkles from the reflection of those lights. This place was so beautiful and the house was not really big, but enough for a family to live. Greyson stopped the car in front of the lake house and i got off the car immediately, stunned by the house. "Oh my God." I mumbled to myself. "Is..is this house yours?"

I couldn't get over the events that had transpired; and seeing Dexter with Sandra just made me snap to the point where I just couldn't deal. The great news was that; I was slowly recovering , Max had bought a house an hour away from home and it was at the Luca estate. The house was huge compared to the cottage cabin like feel of the lake house. I love the lake house cabin because I can wake up to the mountain view and the window seat that overlooks the lake . I can sit and work until I get reminded that it's time to call it a day.

Then it’s about time you did. The lake house was very charming, blending modern and rustic styles. It had exposed beams, soft lighting, and large windows with views of the lake. Sebastian had stocked the fridge, fluffed the pillows, and even lit a candle with her favorite scent. That night, they enjoyed a quiet dinner on the deck—grilled salmon, roasted vegetables, and a bottle of red wine—before sitting outside under the stars. Chloe wrapped in a soft blanket, snuggled up to Sebastian on the cushioned swing. The fire pit crackled nearby, sending tiny sparks into the night.

He shook his head, “Thank God I didn’t tell him where we’re going or he would have reached there to remind me of an important meeting.” After about 30 minutes of driving, the car slowed down as Nicholus turned left from the road. Up ahead, nestled among the towering trees and surrounded by lush greenery, I could see a huge lake house. As the car screeched to a halt in the driveway, Nicholus turned off the engine and hopped out of the car. Rounding the car, he opened my door and waved his hand in front of me. Taking his hand, I got out of the car with my eyes still stuck on the spectacular building in front of me. The lake house had a stone exterior, giving an

I saw some movement down below but I figured it was just the wind rustling through the trees. Then I saw a second figure, this one white. It got me to question if I really had seen the first. Then a third shadow so much bigger than the others. I closed the window again and slipped back inside. We were in the house of wolves, I knew what it meant, my instincts were calling out to me to join whatever hunt was going on down below. I still wouldn’t do it, I couldn’t. Full wolf was just not on my ability list. Why muddy the water too? I was going to leave soon, I didn’t want any connection with that family. I slept under the window letting the moonlight soothe me into a calm sleep. It felt so wro

"Oh, no!" Shantelle laughed from her seat. She said, "I can't, honey. I can't carry your siblings out there. You, Daddy, Uncle Miguel, and Lily can go." "Sorry, Mommy, I forgot!" Lucas said. It did not take long for them to arrive at the lakehouse. It was a gorgeous red-roofed house that sat in front of the lake. The kids immediately got off their vehicles, running around and getting together to watch the lake from the docking station.

, she said in a soft voice, shadow passing over her face. We were coming close to the lake house.. Several wolves were patrolling the perimeter but all have already been notified of our arrival.. A spacious cabin looking property, with dock wrapping all around it, partially directly on the lake, and with couple of boats docked, looked as welcoming as always. Floor length mirrors around the house gave it illusion of openness, but I knew the house was heavily guarded. Alpha King Jonathan chose it as his retirement place after his wife’s passing, as it was where he said he felt closest to her.

She expected a smile from me in response to her weak attempt at humor, but when I remained unchanged her smile dwindled. We got to the infamous lake house. It had a cedar shingle exterior painted a soft cream, large windows, a porch wrapped around the building, a wooden dock extending into the still waters of the lake with a small rowboat tied to its end, and the occasional splash of a fish jumping from the water. My gaze shifted to the top floor with dormer windows, and I wondered if the alpha had seen us. Or was he in his wolf form in the woods, surrounded by pine, spruce, oak, and maple trees scattered along the shoreline?

AJ wasn't exaggerating when he said the house was beautiful. Situated by a large lake, it had a unique charm. The soothing blue view was a stark contrast to what AJ usually saw in New York. That alone was enough to make him ecstatic. The two-story white house with a blue triangular roof was designed for relaxation, as Ruby noticed a hammock, swing, sand pit, barbecue area, and even a small tent right by the lake to ensure its residents could enjoy a variety of vacation experiences.
