HIDDEN EDGES

HIDDEN EDGES

Zara calls, and I see they've already walked into the room, so I hurry up to meet them as we stop in front of a shelf. "This row," Jana says and gestures to the row at my eye level, "is filled with history books about this kingdom, how it all started, our rulers from the first to the last, our wars, festivals, rules, everything you need to know about this kingdom is arranged here in alphabetical order." "Wow," I say as I look through the books with my eyes, my fingers already itching to pick one already and flip through pages. It's been so long since I found interest in something, it's been so long since something gave me hope.

The Dragon's Silent Shadow

The Dragon's Silent Shadow

The end of the world smelled of sulfur and crushed violets. Princess Saoirse, the last true blood of the Dragon Kings, stood before the cracked vanity mirror in the servant’s quarters. Her hands trembled violently as she destroyed her birthright. The paste—a foul mixture of river mud, crushed walnut shells, and soot—felt cold and slimy against her scalp. Outside, the sky was bleeding. The Dragon Kingdom of Aethelgard, a realm of glass spires and singing winds, was dying. It wasn't dying quietly. It was screaming under the iron treads of the Empire’s war machines.

Her Last Death

Her Last Death

the old stones began to glow, strangeAs were carved into them started symbols that to light up, one after another, spreading outward across the city in a mysterious sequence. Silence crashed over the crowd. A woman near the bridge dropped to her knees trembling. “The Crown of Night,” she whispered. My blood turned cold. I looked at Cassian. He had the look of someone who was gazing straight into the face of a terrifying reality, one that he had hoped would remain forever dormant, a nightmare that had haunted him for centuries and now seemed to be staring back at him with unblinking eyes.

The Bride Who Chose Her Own Kingdom

The Bride Who Chose Her Own Kingdom

The families, the engagement, the rumors, and the old love that once trapped me all felt very far away. I once thought leaving Lucas meant losing my future. Later, I learned I had only stepped out of someone else's script and started writing my own name. I took Noah's arm and walked into the light. Tonight, there was no shadow. Only my kingdom.

Tova's Four Kingdoms

Tova's Four Kingdoms

I suppressed my shaking, knowing that if I started to shiver I would not stop, and I tried to figure out why I was taken. I supposed it was a political play. I knew that Erik had many enemies who would love to see him usurped from the throne. The Four Kingdoms of our Realm were in constant strife with each other. Not one kingdom is able to see how the other three benefit them. This always confused me. Each kingdom contributes something to the survival of the other three kingdoms and, in return, receives from them. For example, we have one kingdom that does mostly agriculture, but because of layout of the land, does not have many large animals to provide tallow, furs and meats for consu

I Absolutely Love this book!!! Has become one of my favourites! Love the characters especially the female lead and the details the author wrote on how things were made and what from. The flow of the book was great and I could hardly put the book down! Really worth reading!

The Last Immortal

The Last Immortal

"She can't be." "There is only five royal blood left in the Aero Edis. Queen Khan Awae being the last woman, her brother Prince Nicholas, and his three sons could be the fourth guardian." King Suxx said. "Who between them is the guardian, that's what we need to find out," Hunter declared. "What help can I do now?" I joined in the conversation. Hunter looked at me. "Find out who the last guardian is," he turned to Prince Marcus. "You two must start your first step now."

Throne of Silk and Smoke

Throne of Silk and Smoke

"What you're holding is part of the wedding gifts Her Majesty the empress has prepared for Ms. Giselle. Her Majesty made it clear that no one other than Ms. Giselle is to touch these things. Please put the pearl back and don't make things difficult for us." She rolled her eyes at him. "All of this will eventually end up in Mo's manor—I'm just looking at them a little earlier than planned! What's the big deal?" I wasn't in a hurry to get the pearl back. Instead, I asked the chamberlain, "Did Her Majesty mention what would happen if someone else touched these things?" "Yes, she did. She said that whoever tried to steal the gifts would immediately be thrown behind bars and punished." I tilted m

Few more minutes, and I'll be face to face with the man that wants me dead. "What do you have there?" Another warrior asked. "Nothing that concerns you!" "Is a new Queen for our Kingdom?" The guy says, laughing. "I don't think there will be another Queen for this palace. The last two are dead...so what's the point?" The guy who was with me responded. "What do you mean?" I asked. "What I mean is the last two Queens were both killed! It's like this Kingdom cursed." He said. "Who killed the second one? "

Kings & Queens (Book 3 Vampire Witch Trilogy)

I twirled my hand in the air and he became whole before slowly lowering to the ground while I silently thanked Morena for sharing some tricks of the magical trade with me. “Now that the drama has ended, my good people, I must ask you once again if you are willing to join forces with those you have found abominable for the sake of our survival,” I said in a firm, strong voice. The room practically spoke in unison as they agreed to cooperate. “It is fortunate that the monarchs of two of the kingdoms we will align with are standing in this very hall. Most of you are aware that Geordie Brennus is king of Verso. What you may not realize is that Luthias was able to be saved, but not scarred fro
