THE LAST LETTER

THE LAST LETTER

The portrait on the opposite wall no longer looked ordinary. The eyes of his grandfather seemed to point toward a single bookshelf. Emma noticed it too. "Liam..." "I think he's showing us something." Liam stood immediately. They hurried toward the shelf. Dozens of books covered it. Most looked untouched. But one book stood out. Unlike the others, its spine was clean. Someone had handled it recently. Emma reached for it. "Wait," Liam said. "It could be another trap." Emma smiled nervously. "At this point, everything is a trap."

An Ex-Wife's Last Wish

An Ex-Wife's Last Wish

she said before ending the call. Standing from her seat, she walked towards the bookshelf on her right side. It was filled with books about sketching, drawing, and fashion designs. Right at the bottom row was a seemingly old book with its deep green color fading into a lighter shade. Hestia just pushed it with her foot and the very next second, the shelf slowly opened. Right after entering, the door shut on its own. She then took a sip from her wine while staring at her glass board. Now that she met Venice and Grayson in person, her path to revenge had officially started.

A Werewolf for the Witch

A Werewolf for the Witch

It doesn’t take a genius to guess that she’s lived through an ordeal. “Fine. Leave as soon as you can. We all know what happened the last time they found a Venusian Witch in the company of a Werewolf.” Bile rises up my throat at the memory, and bitterness has crept into my voice. Her eyes widen in fear again. I sigh, forcing myself to assume an impassive expression. I’m sick of the other beings looking at me, at my kind, with fear and mistrust.

I remind him because I have a feeling he knew more than he was letting out. " Young Alpha need I remind you that I am from the council and I demand that you hand over the Witch, with no question ask!" He yelled. Before I could respond Alpha Farrell was on his feet " We all know the rule , wolves do not get involved into punishing a WITCH" he took a deep breath " Do you think I'll be sitting here if it wasn't for that law, we are going to do this right or else I'm going to think you had something to do with my daughter's death"

Hi, Purplelites! It’s been a while since the last time I left you a message. For those who are new, I welcome you with a warm heart. By the way, I have already started with the third and last book called Saving My Alpha. I hope that this book will answer all the unanswered questions that you have. Saving My Alpha is the continuation of both Claiming My Alpha and Redeeming My Alpha and more. The timeline takes place before Anya turns 18 and is about to shift with her wolf.

As the story evolves, you can tell how much dedication the author has spent developing each one the main characters as they grow stronger together throughout the book (instead of just focusing Drake and Athena). You can feel the emotions no matter how dumb, silly or painful it is. Excellent Job!!

Was a really good read. Just a little disappointed in how it ended. The whole books geared you up for this type of war to happen but at the end it just leaves you hanging. Maybe the sequel will answer all of the questions that were brought up in the first one..

The Alpha's Fateful Witch

The Alpha's Fateful Witch

Before she knew it, the days had turned into a week and she was still no closer to breaking his curse. On the morning of the eighth day, she happened upon a book in the library that she found in the very back shelves. It was old and the writing on the spine, so faded, that she couldn't read it so she removed it from the shelf, only to find that the writing on the cover was much the same. Flipping through the pages, she stopped and opened at a particular page showing an illustration of a witch and a werewolf, howling at the moon. She began reading the text, which described curses that had been placed on werewolves over the past centuries. As she stood between the shelves, focusing on the book

I snorted, knowing my cousins would hate that he referred to them as witches and not warlocks. “Ahhhhh, the halfling does not agree. Why don’t you both step aside so I can see her?” he said. “Over my dead body!” Alex snapped. “You either move, witch, or I will move you, the choice is yours.” “You can try, king, and it's a warlock!” Alex said with disdain in his voice. “Have it your way, boy. Guards, remove them, and if they resist, kill them,” he bellowed.

Mated to my Brother's First Love

I took the piece of paper from him and nodded, "Yes, sir." Ezekiel dismissed us, and we left his office, relieved that it was over. Later in the afternoon, Aiden, Penelope, and I sat down together at one table during lunchtime, I couldn't help but notice the excitement in Penelope's eyes as she held a worn-out book in her hands. "What's that book you've got there?" Aiden asked, looking over at her. "It's the last known book of witches," Penelope said, beaming with joy.

Lycan and His Lover

Lycan and His Lover

Ilyich’s torso is almost meatless with only thin, slithery flesh on the ribs while his thighs are covered with thick, fungus filled skin. Ilyich studies Eduard with interest. “You promised that we will be able to break our curse!” Ilyich snarls at Eduard. “You said we will find a witch who can cure us!” “I have tried to find a witch but there are none left,” Eduard calmly says. “The last known witch has disappeared after the Great War and there has not been any sight of one ever since. You know that very well.” Ilyich sits on a stone, facing the Emperor of Ezealyra. “You jest, Lycan!” He snaps. “You know there is a witch in the kingdom and you are hiding her!”

Frequently Asked Questions

The Witcher series has this fascinatingly convoluted publication history that always trips people up! 'My Last Wish' is technically a short story collection published after 'The Sword of Destiny', but it serves as the perfect introduction to Geralt's world. I vividly recall picking it up years ago, expecting swords and monsters—which it delivers—but what hooked me were the twisted fairy tales and dry humor. That story where Geralt debates morality with a priest over a djinn? Pure gold.

Chronologically, though, the standalone novel 'Blood of Elves' comes next, but starting with 'My Last Wish' lets you experience Andrzej Sapkowski's wit and worldbuilding organically. The way he subverts tropes—like Snow White being a politically savvy rebel—makes it feel fresh decades later. I'd argue it's the spiritual first book even if not the literal first written.
