The table had taken her stand. The call had taken the last lie she had been using to stay gone. Now the old life was back in the book. And the next fight was how she got to those children without giving Jimmy the wife he wanted and without letting Hale keep her until “soon” turned into never.

This was way more than the life I wished for. The aim of this life was to be an A-storm, the woman who survived divorce, got back what she wanted, and lived a happy life. But things weren't going exactly as planned for me. I thought this would be part two of my life, but it seems to get worse each day.
