Novel & Cerita The Literal God

EZRA The first thing I noticed when I woke up was the silence but it wasn’t the good kind, or the peaceful, birds-chirping, Sunday morning kind. This was filed with silence, like someone had pressed their hand over the whole house and told it not to breathe. “Jesus Christ,” I muttered, rubbing my face. My mouth tasted like metal, my back hurt from sleeping wrong, and my stomach was a pit of nerves. For a second I thought about just packing up and leaving—money or not, this wasn’t worth my sanity. But then I remembered Lilian’s face, her voice reminding me about the contract. I’d signed my life away for a paycheck.

It feels like I was pushing a huge rock and didn’t make it to move. Anubis smiled in a sinister way. His eyes stare back at me with his black orbs’ pupils. “This isn’t funny for telling me you are meeting some God. Isn’t that insulting?” “What? —” My voice trailed off, “What are you talking about? Why do you keep talking about a God?” I tried to hide anything that he can tell I know a God. But when I think more of it, his name, and his aura. It isn’t just right like a human. “Are you a God?”

But the other sculpture made him unbelievable. The other sculpture was his father. Seeing that sculpture, Little Apple was so shocked that he even forgot about his injuries. “How is it possible? My father has actually become one of the Holy Court's beliefs and stands alongside the God of Light? This is too unbelievable.” Little Apple thought to himself. The western elder seemed to know what Little Apple was thinking. "The God of Light has passed away. He is the only living god in the world." Looking at the sculpture of Jason, the western elder said piously.

A man in thight cotton armour that seemed to sprout plants sat in the middle, jason approached slowly, he raised his head at jason, eyes as green as the forests and the black of his eye as dark as the fertile soil, "I've awaited your arrival for years ikir" he said in a rich voice, Jason could only nod in reply, this man resonated power, not as much as illummino but enough to give a soul the vibes. He stood up and gave a quick bow, "My mistake ikir, I am loathem, the god of the earth and all its produce" he said, Jason raised an eye brow, he thought only illummino was a god, "Oh no my king, there are hundreds of gods that create Aratia, some swore allegiance to illummino while others to the

I say indignantly, crossing my arms over my chest. They let out a carefree laugh as they continue to help themselves in my kitchen. “I knew I would love you; such a quick wit.” I take a step forward. “It’s Ezillus, right?” They beam at me in clear delight. “Jartre’s told you about me! I’m honoured.” I place my keys and phone on the kitchen counter and then lean against it. “So, what are you the God of? Breaking and Entering?” They let out an amused snort. “In simple terms, I’m the God of the Elements.”

shouts from the gods' dais. Everyone obeys, looking at each other, unsure of what to do amidst the confusion that engulfs them. At that moment, a supernatural roar is heard, and the door swings open wide, making way for Yaldabot, the feared god of the underworld. His presence is terrifying, his body shrouded in shadows, his gaze piercing. Yaldabot surveys everyone with a cold and gloomy expression. His eyes gleam with infernal fire as he strides directly towards the goddess Luna, who shrinks in fear at his imposing presence. The air around him becomes thick and laden with dark energy.

CHAPTER 113: THE UNBORN GOD The "Lagos-grit" had taught me that a god isn’t born in a temple; a god is born in the dark, usually when someone is screaming for their life. And looking at the black, oily mess pooling on the High Queen’s white carpet, I realized I was about to witness the most expensive birth in the history of the Void.

"I don't know. But it does tolerate my existence, and might tolerate yours, if you came to God" Dantata listened to the translation, assumed the use of "God" singular was some sort of error, and asked the obvious question. "The gods dwell on a higher plain, how can we go to them?" "Not 'them'", Jyro corrected. "Him. There is only one God. You must go to Him in the spiritual sense, by believing that He exists, and is all powerful". Dantata was incredulous. "A single God? Who is all powerful? We could never believe in such an aberration".

They literally radiated holiness, their forms barely visible within the brightness. "Earth-Sanctus offers blessings," the central figure intoned. Their voice was chorus, multiple voices harmonizing. "I am High Priestess Lumina. In our reality, faith became fact during the Void War. Gods manifested physically. Prayer generated tangible power. We survived through divine intervention." Through the hybrid network, I felt confusion from our people. Gods? Real, physical gods? "You're saying religious deities exist in your reality?" Thelma asked carefully. "All of them," Lumina confirmed. "Every god ever worshipped gained physical form when the Void threatened. They fought alongside us. Now Earth-S

Emotions had run wild between now and then; excitement, disbelief, discontent, rage, and now a thoughtful silence pervading the four walls like a thick blanket that lulls her back to the bay of sleep’s arms. Avian dips the feathered tip into the glass bottle and carefully lowers it onto the page where she had left, just beneath the grotesque sketch of an original Lycanthrope she had attempted whilst still in the throes of energy. “… Average of ten feet tall, five hundred pounds of muscle and fur that is impervious to the war instruments of man.” The high priest stands at the front left, his cheeks like emptied udders that tremble with each breath, “tapetum lucidum…” highly sensitised night v
