View MoreTHELMA’s POV
The sounds of my heels tapping the floor as I walked gracefully into the pack’s healing room, a bright smile on my face while waving to the other people I met on the way.
I got to the room, pushing open the door to reveal him, Neon, my fiancé. He was standing right next to the window staring outside.
He seemed to sense my presence as he turned back facing me, “Thelma.” His soft voice called out as he walked towards me.
I embraced him getting to him, my hands wrapped tightly on his waist, “I’ve missed you so much.” I pout as he pecked me on my lips pulling away from me.
“Have a seat.” He guide me to sit on the bed, my eyes glanced around the room then back to his injured arm as I rubbed on it.
I’m Thelma, the princess of the Tee pack, one of the largest and most feared pack in the wolf world, being the first daughter of the pack, I shouldered a large responsibility.
I have a younger sister, Yvonne and my fiancé is the strongest general of the pack. To everyone, finding their mate after turning 18 is normal but not for me.
I couldn’t find my mate till I turned 23 and that was why father decided to bethrone me to Neon just after passing the pack to him as my alpha.
Over the years, I’ve always wanted to officially become his Luna but I had to wait until this moment, the moment where our pack would become the strongest.
I jolted back to reality when he tapped me, “Ohh sorry, what were you saying?” I asked, he gently laughed before flickering my forehead with his finger.
“How could you be so absentminded?” I shrugged at his question, even though we were both engaged, I have always had a soft spot for him since we were young.
“Maybe thinking about how I’ll officially become your Luna tonight.”
He placed his hands on my laps, “I promise to make it the biggest ceremony for you, you will be the most envious Luna existed in history.”
I was about answering when I received a phone call, picking it up, I realized it was dad, “Dad.”
“The neighboring pack next to us need a healer Thelma, and it’s very urgent, I can only trust you with this task so you should leave with two healers to help.”
He sounded urgent and didn’t allow me to speak, “But dad, the ceremony tonight…”
“You will make it just in time for the ceremony if you hurry up and leave now.” He interrupted me and dropped the call before I could say anything more, even though I was hesitant, I still had to leave.
I stared at Neon, “I understand, I will wait for you to arrive.” He pecked my forehead before I stood up, with one last look at him, I hurried outside into the shadows of a new mission.

I stared at the huge pack gate in front of me booming with light, my hand was injured but not so much, the moon light shone down on me.
The beautiful decorations, the smiles, the laughter and shouting, no one seem to notice it wasn’t complete.
I slowly walked in, my steps slow but deliberate towards the pack’s garden, my sadness and pain overcome with happiness.
He decorated all this for me, just as I got to the pack’s garden, I could hear people cheering and staring at something.
Moving closer, a shocking scene left my mouth hanging. Yvonne was standing in front of Neon with him kneeling down holding the Luna crown.
It was as though he was pledging his loyalty to her, what he was supposed to do to me, “What do you guys think you are doing?” I bolted, my voice ringing through the crowd.
The ones lousy crowd became quiet, everyone giving space to stare at me properly. Yvonne face lit with horror as if she had just seen a ghost.
“Why are you back? You were never supposed to be back!” She shouted, her eyes shaking in fear, I was confused.
Initially, while on our way back from the neighboring pack, we encountered a group of rogue wolves making it almost impossible to survive.
But just when I thought I’ll die, the second healer with me healed me with all her strength resulting to her death while she provided cover for me giving me enough time to escape back.
“What do you mean?”
My injured arm was hurting, it was hard for me not to have healed by now but I was less bothered by it, all I wanted now was an answer.
“Thelma, let me explain.” Neon tried calling me down but it wasn’t working, I saw it, the deception. What was happening.
I pointed at him, “Don’t tell him it’s what I’m thinking.” My voice cracked unable to believe my thought as I tried controlling my tears.
Yvonne stepped forward before he could speak, “Yes. It’s exactly whatever you are thinking, I’m tired of having to pretend over and over again just to make peace be.”
Was this the same sister I thrived for all this years, the same sister I grew up with thinking she was my companion, “Yvonne!” My voice was breaking.
“What!”
“Dad just tell her the truth, this is starting to get on my nerves.” She hissed standing next to Neon as she kissed him.
My eyes was red from anger as I launched forward to attack them but was pushed backward by a huge wave, it was Neon.
I crashed on the wall weakened, my bones crushed and I couldn’t stand up, “Ouch!” That was wrong. I wasn’t supposed to be in this much pain.
Yvonne stepped forward, “All my life, I have always been your shadow, I always felt second to none, no one sees my presence anytime you are around, why?”
But that wasn’t true, I had done everything just to make mom and dad see me, she was the one always pampered while I’m trained the hardest way.
“How does it feel getting your loved one taken away from you?” I stared into her eyes, it held no form of love, it was deep resentment and hatred, something I’ve never seen in her before.
“Why? I loved you, you are my sister, my only companion.” I opened my mouth to ask but I felt my whole body paralyzing.
She smiled, “I hated your gut and everything about you, I wish you could just die…” She paused, crouched to my size and lean closer to my ear, “The poison must have start acting up, dad personally poisoned you himself.”
That was when it all started making sense, the urgent mission, the attack, the not expecting me to be back.
I expected just one person from the pack to at least stand up for me but they all stared. Some pitifully, some happy while some held pain in their eyes.
I looked up at the faces of the people I once regard to as family, my tears rolling down my cheeks, my eyes held pain, betrayal, sorrows but I still wanted something else.
“Mom!” I called softly, she stared away unable to look at me, that wasn’t it, I needed answers, why? Why did they do this? Why will they be wicked enough to kill their own daughter? Why?
As my eyes close, I prayed earnestly looking at the moon above, “Moon goddess, if you can hear me, please give me a second chance to make it all right, to
get my revenge and change my fate.”
Then darkness!
POV: Thelma The door burst open again, and Luna rushed in, followed by a group of warriors. She took one look at the scene, Marcus's body, the trapped witch crystal, and me slowly turning to stone and her face went pale. "What happened?" she demanded. "No time to explain," Theo said. "Where's Xavier? We need Xavier now!" "He's coming," Luna said. "He felt something through the mate bond. He and his warriors are maybe five minutes behind us." "She doesn't have five minutes!" Theo gestured at me frantically. "Look at her!" Luna moved closer, her eyes widening as she saw the stone spreading across my body. "Oh no. Oh, Thelma, no." I tried to speak, but my jaw was stiffening. The words came out slurred. "Not... your fault..." "Save your strength," Luna ordered, kneeling beside me. "Don't try to talk. Just hold on a little longer." But I could feel it. The stone was at the base of my throat now. Soon it would reach my heart. And when it did, I would be frozen forever. A s
POV: Thelma The moment Marcus's blood touched the ritual circle, I felt everything shift. The dark energy that had been pulling at my life force reversed direction, and suddenly, instead of draining me, it was exploding outward in waves of uncontrolled magic. "No!" Morgana screamed, her hands raised as she tried to contain the backlash. "NO! This can't be happening!" But it was happening. Marcus's willing sacrifice, his choice to give his life to save mine, had done something to her spell. Something she hadn't anticipated. Elena's sobs filled the air as she held Marcus's body, rocking back and forth. "You fool," she wept. "You stupid, stubborn fool. Why would you do this? Why?" I wanted to say something to her, to comfort her somehow, but words felt impossible. This man had murdered my birth parents. He'd raised me as a tool, poisoned me, tried to steal my power. He'd been my enemy in every possible way. And yet, in his final moment, he'd saved me. "Thelma, we need to mo
POV: Narrator The words hit Thelma like physical blows. Her rebirth, her second chance had it all been a lie? Had she been dancing on the witch's strings this entire time? "No," Thelma said, though her voice shook. "I made choices. I changed things. I rejected Neon, I found Xavier, I.." "You did exactly what I needed you to do," Morgana interrupted. "You broke away from Marcus, forcing him to act more desperately. You found your mate, creating a bond that made your blood even more potent. You discovered your twin, awakening the power that had been dormant in both of you. Every rebellion, every choice, every moment of defiance brought you closer to this moment." Theo looked at Thelma, and through their twin bond, she felt his despair mirror her own. They'd thought they were fighting for freedom, but they'd been prisoners all along. "Why tell us all this?" Theo asked. "Why not just kill us and take what you want?" "Because the ritual requires understanding," Morgana explained. S
POV: Narrator The witch's lair was hidden deep in the Shadowpeak Mountains, a place where sunlight never quite reached and the air tasted of ancient magic. Neon dragged Thelma through a stone archway covered in runes that glowed with sickly green light. Behind them, his men carried the unconscious Theo, still paralyzed from the silver dust. "Welcome," a voice purred from the darkness. "I've been waiting so very long to meet you, child." A woman emerged from the shadows. She looked perhaps forty, with long black hair streaked with silver and eyes that held centuries of knowledge and cruelty. Morgana the Dark Witch, though she looked nothing like the monster Thelma had imagined. "Let me go," Thelma demanded, trying to pull free from Neon's grip. But her body was still weak from healing Xavier, and she could barely stand. "In time, dear. In time." Morgana circled them slowly, studying Thelma like a scientist examining a specimen. "You're even more perfect than I'd hoped. The
POV: Xavier "No!" Luna started forward, but more of Neon's men appeared from the shadows. Men I hadn't noticed before, disguised as Silver Moon warriors. They'd been here all along, waiting. "Sorry, Luna," Neon said, not sounding sorry at all. "This was always the plan. Get the twins in one place. Wait for them to exhaust themselves. Then collect." "You planned this entire attack," Luna realized, horror in her voice. "The other packs, the siege, you coordinated all of it." "I'm a very thorough planner." Neon reached down and grabbed Thelma's arm. She tried to fight, but she was too weak. "Come along, darling. We have an appointment with someone very interested in meeting you." "Let her go," I snarled, trying to push myself up. My arms shook with the effort. "Or what?" Neon laughed. "You can barely stand. She drained herself saving you. The perfect ending to my plan. She's too weak to fight, too weak to run, and you're too weak to stop me from taking her." He started drag
POV: Xavier Pain was the first thing I felt. Sharp, burning pain radiating from my chest through every nerve in my body. Then I heard Thelma's voice, distant and panicked, calling my name through the mate bond. "Xavier! Stay with me! Xavier!" I tried to open my eyes, but my eyelids felt like they weighed a thousand pounds. My body was shutting down, system by system. The poison Neon had been feeding me was finally taking full effect. "What did you give him?" That was Theo's voice, filled with rage. "Just a little wolfsbane compound." Neon sounded so casual, like he was discussing the weather. "Mixed with silver dust and a few other ingredients. Nothing immediately fatal, but over three days, it accumulates in the system. Very difficult to detect. Very effective." "You bastard!" Thelma's scream was followed by the sound of flesh hitting flesh. She'd hit him. Good. "Now, now," Neon said, still infuriatingly calm. "Violence won't help your mate. In fact, nothing will help
