A wolf howled in the distance, and my heart sank when I realized that it was Ragnar. I could tell by how sad the howl sounded that he had discovered my absence. “I’m sorry, Ragnar,” I said and sighed. “I had to pick what was best for me.” I glanced at the crow and saw it watching me closely. After a few seconds, it spread out its wings and prepared to fly. At the base of its wing, I saw the unmistakable emblem of the Nightclaw pack. It wasn’t just any ordinary forest bird; it was a crow from the southern kingdom, and the idea that it must’ve been following us because it was ordered to sent a chill down my spine, and I pulled them to my side.

Albert sneakered, “Now, now. That's an unrefined attack. It was so slow. Did my Crimson Blade become rusty under that Benedict and Dark King's roof? White Crow was even overprotective of you.” “I'll Kill You! ” Zitrey only mumbled. With a vein suddenly burgeon her hand and in the forehead, White Crow suddenly flew sidewards and bumped strongly in the wall, when Zitrey aimed at her waist which she failed to block it. The flame had gone out and only the glow of the moon seemed to give Godric a little light. A crow had ventured onto the old masonry and announced its presence. The young priest's heart had slipped into his black robe. He had expected everything at night, but not to get such a shock. How long had he stood there just to be so lost in his thoughts? One-third of these flying crows were wrapped in white bones. They loved to eat rotten corpses, so they were famous. Moreover, once they saw weak creatures, these corpse crows would rush over in groups, using their sharp mouths wrapped in white bones to pierce towards their prey. Just then, a group of six or seven corpse crows discovered a figure passing through the valley. This figure had a young face, about 15 or 16 years old. It was a young man with a little tenderness on his face, but his eyes were very deep, like stars in the depths of two universes, shining with strange brilliance.

He released my neck before lifting my two hands above my head and capturing them in one hand, rendering me completely helpless before tugging my jaw upwards with his free hand. "NO ... NO ... NO !!" the sound of a crow. I was surprised to hear the sound, and made the hairs on my neck stand up. “Huh, crow? I should how? I'm afraid!" I said panicked. I remember that crows are friends of vampires, which is why I was afraid. Not only that as a child I was attacked by crows for no reason. That's why I was scared and plus this isn't my world, I'm in my own novel world. The crow in my novel world is a vampire friend, the one who always reports to the vampire leader is a black crow like the crow in front of me right now.

The snap sounded like my body's last protest before my hand finally loosened. I had been clutching a transparent ziplock bag, the kind my grandmother used to store her blood pressure medicine. The scientist opened it carefully and removed a folded piece of paper. The bag had protected it from the water. Only the edges were slightly damp. Crayon marks covered the page, words mixed with simple musical notation. The title read, "A Song for Mom." [One little duck went out one day. A home from my dad not far away. Daddy duck said quack quack quack. That little duck came home right away.

She held out her hand, and for a second, the white void slowed down. "I can see the text underneath!" Mina shouted over the rising wind of the void. "It’s not being destroyed... it’s being Struck Through! Someone is drawing a line through the South’s history!" Suddenly, a shadow fell over the grey village. The Giant Crow we had seen on our roof plummeted from the sky, landing atop the blurred remains of the village well. It was six feet tall, its feathers made of shredded black silk. In its beak, it held a pair of Silver Scissors, the kind used by a Master Tailor, but large enough to decapitate a man.

The first time I really heard the words "old crow" was during the company's Monday morning meeting. Sadie Laurent kept her eyes down as I scolded her, a teardrop glistening at the corner of her lashes. And during the short break, someone muttered under their breath, "She really is an old crow—always picking on the young and pretty ones." For a moment, my thoughts froze. That single line stirred up a storm. Whispers rippled across the room, each one sharper than the last.
