Novel & Cerita The Living Dead Novel

My bad habit was curling my toes when I was anxious. Why? I didn't move again. I stayed still. Maybe they would go away. I was done. There was no way now. "She looks dead though." It was another soldier. "Who could survive after falling from that height?" I wanted to give a thumbs up to that soldier. "What if it's an undead?" The first soldier asked with a trembling voice. "The undead city isn't far from here." Undead city? There was no such mention in the novel. Then again, the novel focussed too much on the female lead's love life.

Something that could wipe humanity off the map. “The ones who survive… are becoming… something else,” I murmured under my breath, barely able to believe it. “Zombies,” I whispered. The word hung in the air. Rebecca shuddered. “I can’t believe it. It’s happening so fast. What do we do?” “We study it,” I said firmly, more to myself than to her. “I need to get to the bottom of this. We need samples, data, whatever we can get our hands on.”

I walked out, making straight for the door and didn’t even stop when the old librarian called my name. I went straight to my room, sighing in relief when I heard no voices or wasn’t stuck to the ground. I’ve never been more grateful that I had a room all to myself even if I was isolated from everyone else. Once I got comfortable on my bed and opened the book and started reading it. The cold ones were people who died and came to life. The first case was recorded after the first world war when a soldier who had lost his two sons made a deal with the devil for them to be brought back to life.

Our teacher in philosophy asked us. What is living? Some of my classmates said: living is being alive, not dead, and progressing. Some just answered to be alive or alive. They all have different meanings of what living is, but nonetheless they're just the same. According to Merriam Webster dictionary: living is having life or the condition of being alive. Aristotle defined that every living thing has a certain form, part of which explains the thing's being alive. In Plato's definition, the meaning of life is in attaining the highest form of knowledge, which is the idea or form of the good, from which all good and just things derive utility and value. Meanwhile in Philosophy, living is having

“Every detail he chose for you is flawless.” I was about to reply when the news anchor’s voice from the TV in the studio caught my attention. “We interrupt with breaking international news. Chicago mob boss Axel Thorne was murdered late last night on his private dock. The killer has been identified as his former mistress, Seraphina Croix. Both fell to their deaths in the Chicago River…” I froze.

said Celie. Nestie turned to Celie. “What do you mean ‘no one alive’?” he asked. Celie placed a hand above her mouth and laughed. “Well, Nestie. Local legends say that a woman in white haunts this house and its grounds,” explained Lisa, watching her friend’s reaction. Nestie stepped backwards and held Lisa tightly. “You mean this house is haunted?” he asked Lisa. “That’s what they say,” Lisa replied. “She is supposed to be my great-great-grand aunt,” said Celie as she stared at the open window on the upper floor. “And she died her of a broken heart.”

Henry was tortured so badly that he was almost unrecognizable, but the date stamp showed it wasn't from this year. "According to the criminal's statement, Henry was near death in the second year after they fled to Northern Myralis. So Joanna sold his organs, one by one," the officer explained. Henry was dead. He probably never understood why Joanna, the woman he once loved and trusted, had done this to him. But I did. I had once stumbled upon Dad's old notebook. I learned from it that the case back then had an anonymous tipster. This person provided a ton of key info just to bring down their competitor.

His shoulders sagged, and he shuddered despite himself. There were five of them—students—now part of the undead. A cold dread settled over him as he realized he recognized three of their faces. “If someone had told me four days ago that I’d be fighting for my life against zombies, I’d have had them checked for madness at the nearest mental facility,” Luke thought bitterly. His stomach churned as he stared at the door, its frame rattling under the relentless blows. How did it come to this? Just four days ago, life had been perfectly normal.

Histories, myths, philosophies—every book was a whisper of the past. Ashara’s gaze stopped on a particular section on the far wall, its books older, darker in design, and faintly ominous. Something about the curling silver script caught her attention. One of the titles read: Nocturnae Vitae: The Legacy of the Blood Born. Her breath hitched. “Vampires?” she murmured, tilting her head.

“She rejected him but it didn’t fully take because he didn’t use her title of Alpha Female when accepting. Fates brought her to our pack even in unkind circumstances. Anyway it turns out Daphne was in love with Jared all along when he heard of her condition he fled his pack after trying to challenge Daniel and met up with us. When we went to attack with all your help we were left with an unwelcome surprise. Daniel was Livie’s second chance mate but he had a Luna already. He openly told her he wanted her for the power she could bring. The war started, Livie killed the Luna then she fought the Alpha. She had her teeth around his throat and he shifted back and accepted her.” Growls were echoing
