The Lost Element Novels & Stories

Zeda asked, looking at him for any injury or bandage, but found none. “Great. Perfectly healed,” Adrian replied, and Zeda reluctantly nodded. He seemed hellbent on keeping things professional between them. “Here, I’m done with the books,” Zeda took out the five books and placed them on his desk. “Thanks for insisting I read them.” Adrian glanced from her to the books. “And what did you learn from them, or what questions do you have from them?” “Well, I learned a lot, but what I’m most curious about is why the fifth element Spirit is rare, making it seem as if there are only four elements over the years?” Zeda asked.

You never know, maybe we will be able to come up with bullets that can move for a greater distance than what we have and such. It all waits to be seen. Right now, I can't showcase the metal gift because we are in hiding and if I were to attract all the metal objects around this place, someone might notice and the last thing I would want is to sell out the hiding place of the rebel witches,” I said at length and Darius nodded in agreement. "There is one thing I don't understand,” he said seemingly deep in thought. "Ask away," I said. “From all my studies, I have been taught that we have four elements in the universe: earth, water, air and fire. How come you are talking of five?" He asked.

The nervous tension is sickly thick, and I can't but start feeding into it. "What's going on, Adrexa?" when I find the old matron. "Grave news that the Greeks have discovered the source to our secret underground river and has poisoned it," she says worriedly. "Poisoned it how?" my thoughts wandering to the different kinds of poisons the ancients had access to. Each one extremely painful and deadly. At that moment, the doors to the palace open, and a tired-looking Braxius steps through. Since yesterday, he hasn't been home since being called into the war council with his brother Hector commanding the Trojan army.

AURORA It’s been hours but anytime my mind wanders to it, I just mouth ‘wow’ and shake my head. I should be ashamed for forgetting that there were more than just three elements. How could I forget about earth? The very fucking thing I stand on. Why didn’t we ever bother to search for the wolf with the elemental power of earth? The answer was quite simple, really. It had been centuries before elemental gifts returned to the territories, finding three was so huge that they forgot everything else and straight up began calling us The Chosen Three…

The team approached the doorway to the Trial of Wisdom, their determination and curiosity piqued. The Emissary's voice echoed through the chamber, his words laced with a hint of caution. "The Trial of Wisdom requires cunning and insight," he warned. "You must solve the ancient puzzle of the Elements. The balance of nature hangs in the balance, and only those who understand the harmony of earth, air, fire, and water shall succeed." As the Emissary finished speaking, the doorway swung open, revealing a chamber filled with intricate mechanisms and symbols representing the four elements. The room was a marvel of ancient engineering, with gears, levers, and pulleys woven together in a complex tap

They'd lost the element of surprise, lost their momentum, lost the chance to take the pack house. But they hadn't lost their leader. A new figure emerged from the trees. Not a wolf. A human. A woman with silver hair and cold eyes and a face I recognized from old photographs. "Luna Elena," I whispered. My mother-in-law looked at me. Not with love. With something else. Something that looked like judgment. "Hello, Amara," she said. "We need to talk." "About what?" "About your son." She stepped closer. "About his future. About the prophecy you've been ignoring."

It has an ornate metal clasp on the front which locks the pages giving the illusion of it being a box. I run my fingers over the clasp and it clicks open. I feel my wolf push to the front of my mind but I'm so engrossed in the book I hardly even notice. I open the cover carefully and look at it. On the inscription page is some writing and a hand drawn picture of a wolf in black ink. I read the inscription out loud. 'Journal of Lycius 1800AD' "Where does it say that?" Hunter says looking over my shoulder.

She refused with a nod. “Did I ask him to lose?” She refused again. “Did I ask him to bet you?” Aslan knew it was him but she doesn’t need to know that and she nodded. “It was him, who bet you, lost you, and made me a winner. I am only claiming what’s mine. Am I wrong?” Now, answer, Elena. He wanted to see if there is any fight left in her, because it was getting boring. “Yes, it’s wrong, because I don’t want it.” Elena whisperd these words.

said Frank. “Whoever made it doesn’t know what he is talking about for the most part. He dug up old scrolls and deciphered scriptures that were thought to be lost, but we can tell he never spoke to any of us. The only factual statement he made is the distinction between different types of elemental beings, but even as he tried to explain it, he wasn’t entirely correct,” said Sebastian.

Still, I took it from him, the weight of it heavy in my hands. He turned on the bedside lamp. And the moment I saw the words printed on the page, the world tilted violently around me. My ears rang with a dull, endless buzz. It was an agreement to sever our mate bond. And even through the haze of disbelief, I could still hear his voice—cold, detached, and merciless. "Lily's back. You should've heard by now." My mind went blank. It took me a few seconds to even find my voice. "No… I just found out."
