They did not have any problem with his reign since it was his last year, a few months after, he was replaced by the current Magic King. But both the former King, my father and the other King, weakened so much. The restoring of earth's balance took all their magic. The other King died and my father's magic was lost. He was devastated at first but the entire Kingdom acknowledged his braveness and sacrifice, my father accepted things. He was soon relieved that he was able to help planet earth.

I had a way to find out things for myself. Surprisingly the prince in question had once crossed my path and he owed me a favor. It was time to get him to work for me based on that. Its cover was dark, almost oily-looking, bound with broad strips of leather and clasped at the corners with dull silver that caught the candlelight and threw it back in cold glints. Behind it stood the prince. He didn’t look at us right away. His head was bowed, one hand tracing along the book’s spine with something almost tender. Lady Senna and the armored man flanked him like twin pillars of judgment, their expressions carved from ice.
