“Good then. Let Ronan see exactly what kind of Luna he cast aside.” I stepped closer, glaring. “Don’t call me that. I'm not his Luna. Never will be again.” Kale’s jaw flexed, and for once, he didn’t argue. Instead, he gripped my forearm hard enough to bruise. “Then fight as mine. Fight as my queen.” Our eyes locked. For a heartbeat, the war around us faded away, until the horns blew, reminding us of what is ahead. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The battlefield roared to life.

he yelled, horrified. “Goodbye, Brother.” Aikiz shot Ruth. Gasping for air, she looked at her brother’s corpse. She almost broke down in tears, but she had no time for that. Tonight, the moon chose Aikiz to be the new Luna. Her smell changed. In some hours, all the Alphas in the city will discover that she is the queen that can make them eligible to become Lycan. It seemed to be so long ago. So, instead of focusing on her, I turned to Varis and Kris. They were speaking with the Luna Queen. “What’s the plan?” I asked, getting their attention. Although I wasn't in full form, I could still join a fight. I just needed to soak up the moon for a while. I was an Alpha after all. The Luna Queen gestured to a map laid out on the table. I hadn't noticed it. I legit thought that it was decor. “We’ve been communicating with our allies. They're going to fight with you.” She told me, meeting my eyes.

"No, you can't do this to me!" Ritchelle screamed at the top of her lungs as grief and rage were embedded on her beautiful face. She is a woman of words. The ley lines ruptured. The seers collapsed. Kaelion summoned a shield. Lucien pulled Sera behind him. Aria ran to Luna. Their marks collided. And the flame responded. — A wave of golden light burst from Luna’s chest. It collided with the queen’s fire. The clearing exploded. Ash rained from the canopy. The altar split in two. The Grove groaned. And the queen vanished. — Silence. Smoke. Breath. Luna collapsed. Aria caught her.

Tariq began, his voice strong and commanding, “tonight, I introduce to you someone very special. Leah has been through much, and she has proven her strength time and again. She will be your Luna, your queen, and she will stand by my side as we lead the Fireblood pack into a new era.” A murmur rippled through the crowd, and I shifted uncomfortably under their gaze. This wasn’t how I had imagined my life. I had never thought I would be standing in front of a pack like this, being introduced as their Luna. But here I was, and there was no turning back now.

I asked out of frustration, I know what he is trying to slap to my face but why can't he understand.

He will not stop until he tears these walls down for you.” I closed my eyes, trying to breathe past the ache in my chest. I wanted to believe it, to hold onto it like a lifeline. But every bruise reminded me that Zade was not going to let me go easily.

"But remember, the blood spilled this day will not be forgotten. Nor forgiven." I nodded, feeling the weight of his words like a mantle upon my shoulders. And I, Kelly Thompson, Luna Queen of the South pack, would stop at nothing to bring the hidden enemies into the light.
