For once, he seemed to know that this was not his time to crash out, fight, justify or shield himself. I looked away and one of the Moonblade elders stepped forward. "Regardless of what happened between them, this cannot simply be ignored." Another elder nodded beside him. "Luna's authority cannot continue as though nothing has happened." Seraphine stiffened and I saw her hands curled into fists at her sides. I heard every word but I still didn’t feel relief. I didn't feel satisfaction or triumph either. This wasn’t what I had wanted. I hadn’t stood there hoping to see her fall in the way they thought.
