Having shifted back, Yuna pursed her lips at his words. "Whether you confess or not, it doesn't change whether I forgive you."
"I know," Damon said, staring at her. For the first time, there was a raw, almost desperate ache in his eyes. "Yuna, I'm not here to beg for your forgiveness. I just need you to come to the trial. Not for me. For yourself, and for the pup that never was."
The wind swept across the snowfield, tugging lightly at Yuna's cloak. She stayed silent for a long moment, then finally spoke. "Fine. I'll go."
