The Lycan King’s Mark Mga Nobela at Kwento

I was speechless and heat crawled up my cheeks at her observation. “He's afraid of losing you, Elowen. A lycan's mark is strong and only a powerful being can handle it, much less a mark of royal blood. It can kill you if your body can't accept it. Not to mention that there has been no record of a successful mating between a lycan and a human. He didn't want to risk it and I understand him. What is the use of getting rid of the power of your blood if he loses you too?”

He wanted it to be me. Hunter looked dazed when he pulled away from Suzy. I’ve never seen someone look that way after marking anyone. Was it normal for Lycans? What was happening? “It’s final. A Lycan’s mark is final. It’s the most powerful bond in the world. Whoever came before will be forgotten completely because all they will see is the woman or man that they had marked. There will never be another for as long as they shall live. Nobody else will matter but their mate.”

Alder's POV My name is Alder Volcik, and I am the Lycan King. I am 187 years old and have held the title of king for over 150 years. Lycans are widely recognized as the most powerful species. We aim to safeguard the werewolves and uphold equilibrium among all supernatural species. We remain immortal unless our heads are severed, and our hearts are simultaneously removed. We have the ability to heal faster than werewolves, both in terms of physical wounds and speed. Additionally, a regular lycan is capable of defeating an alpha.

His eyes are back to their usual light brown, and he seems less menacing. The Lycan King, standing right before me, and asking me about my bruises. It can't be real. "You will let me mark you, little one," he says, and brushes my hair away from my shoulder, exposing it. A pleasant shiver runs through my body. No . . . I can't possibly be enjoying this. He starts to lean towards me, and his eyes burn a vivid gold again. His mouth opens slightly, showing powerful looking canines. A true Lycan.

It was heavier than it looked, the cover soft and a little sticky with age. It opened plainly enough: Each alpha has a prophecy, and it will always come to pass. Weird, I thought. The kind of line that means nothing until, suddenly, it means everything. I almost put it back right there. I wish I had. I kept reading instead. The Tenth Lycan King will conceive a child with his Luna. The child will be the most powerful and most feared in history. I read it again, slower. Then a third time, waiting for the words to rearrange themselves into something that made more sense, something less impossible. They didn't.

“The person lying in front of us is none other than the Lycan King of the Lycan Kingdom.” The ceramic bowl in my hand nearly slipped. I stepped back and stared at Warner in disbelief. Now I understood why he had been so careful while treating this man. “Holy shit. You aren’t joking, right?” Warner shook his head. “This is the blessed Moon Mark that only the kings of the werewolves receive during their coming-of-age ceremony. He is certainly the Lycan King.” I stood frozen. This was the first time I had ever seen a Lycan up close, and I had never expected it to be the king himself.

We overheard one of the alphas drunk kids at the party talking about how the lycan king is locked away, and that only the firstborn alphas and the alpha king have the maps to the location where he is locked away. Nobody at the party took the guy seriously, but you know what they say, a drunk man tells no lies. Many people say that the Lycan king is dead. There are many different stories about the Lycan King. Some of the stories say he was a good guy and others say he was this savage monster. It's so many different stories, so many wolves including myself who wasn't around durn the time of the lycan king think that he's only a legend and that most of the stories were made up to scare us as ki

He’s been watching since the ceremony. I looked at Rowan. ‘I understand if you want me to leave before he arrives. Whatever political obligation his arrival creates for you. I don’t want you to leave, Rowan said. He is the Lycan King. If he arrives here and finds you have been —’ Harboring you. Something in his voice was almost amused. Harboring is an interesting word for offering a guest a bed and breakfast. I stopped arguing. Not because I had run out of arguments but because I could see that they were not going to work, and I had learned a long time ago not to spend energy on immovable things.

This explained his cold neutrality. “You believe the King is too emotionally invested in this farce to see the danger,” I whispered, realizing the depth of the power structure. “The King is Fated,” Rhys stated, his expression chillingly fanatic. “But he is also human, and prone to weakness. I, however, am a Lycan devoted entirely to order. My loyalty is to the preservation of power, the continuity of the Lycan line, and the defeat of the Human Hunters. If you, Esmeralda, cause even a ripple of doubt in the King’s judgment, if you attempt to use that Mate Bond to influence him, or if you simply fail in your assigned role—”

My heart impossibly shattered even more, making me stagger back as a stray tear rolled down my shocked cheeks. He hummed and waved his hands, immediately dismissing me while knowing very well that I wasn't okay with the arrangement but since when did Sullivan ever care about my opinion? I quietly returned to my room, all the while recalling every rumor I had ever heard about the Lycan king. His name was believed to be Hunter Tiberius Williams and he was cruelty in human form.
