Novel & Cerita The Man In The Iron Mask

LINNET Cornello quickly got off me while I stood in a daze. The intruder chuckled and stepped closer, and only then did I get to see his face. He was an elegant man, considerably tall, but I couldn’t tell much about his features because he wore a mask. As Cornello reached to pull up his pants, the masked man stopped him. “Not yet, Mr. Cornello,” he said, moving even closer. Cornello stiffened. How did this masked man know who he was? Sensing the shock on his face, the stranger continued.

His mom's laughter was a stark contrast to my mom's heartbreaking cries and pleas. The door to the hall is suddenly kicked open, distracting everyone. I turn my neck and guards wearing suits run in. In the middle of the two rows of guards was a man wearing a black mask. But even with the mask hiding his face, and him wearing a very expensive dark red suit I have never seen before, I knew exactly who it was. Leonardo Cassano.

He has a ferocious, determined, desperate look on his face. However, the noble observes with a resentful composure. He whispers, "She always does." She is shaken by something in his certainty. When she asks, "Who am I?" her own voice is hardly audible above a whisper. Quiet. Neither man says anything for a moment. Then— The man in the mask tightens his hold. "An individual who was never intended to be confined." The noble grinned. "Someone who wasn't supposed to go." Two facts. Or two falsehoods?

A weird mask, to be honest. The mask he was wearing was shining as if made up of some kind of metallic nails or dragon-scales. It covered half his face, leaving his identity veiled in mystery. “Who the hell are you?” Thea demanded, her voice steady despite her pounding heart. She wasn't frightened by him though, just a bit confused. The man smirked, folding his arms. “You know me, Maria,” he said, his voice smooth yet unsettling. Thea’s breath hitched. “Maria?” she echoed, shocked to hear her original name.

But this time, he wore a mask, a sleek, black, and silver half-face mask that covered the left side of his face, made of a material that resembled lightweight metal alloy, with a silver trim. Confusion and fear flooded through me. What was going on? Why was I marrying a man I didn’t know and why was he hiding his face? Suddenly, I remembered. This was Andrei Carter, the man from Carter Industries who had been involved in a terrible accident. The news had been all over the media. This was the same man who had rescued me last night. “Hello, wife,” he said, his voice resonating through the air as he gave me a crooked smile that didn’t match my anxious state_

Silver masks teased me, but none held his broad shoulders and his quiet intensity. A hand grazed my wrist, near the terrace doors. A man in a black tux and wearing a silver mask nearly identical to Eduardo’s… He smiled gently, gripped me with his firm but warm hand. “Looking for me?” he asked. The music muffled his voice. He didn’t have Eduardo’s accent, but I thought that was because of the music. I wouldn’t believe that easily, but his costume and his build convinced me.

The muscle man asks in a hostile tone. The man in a golden-grey robe just smiled and didn’t say anything. On his face, there’s a half-face mask that covers the upper half of his face. “I hate people wearing masks! Stop wearing it in front of me!” Gerel said in disdain. A youth takes off his mask and smiles at Gerel mysteriously. “Greed and selfishness? I think it’s a little bit overboard, I didn’t do this for fun you know.” Said Duke Tian Dong to a man in front of him.

A man in a black coat with an iron mask and long braided hair looked at the trees swinging in the forest in the distance. This person was Iron Mask. He was one of the Regal Palace’s Generals. Up till now, Tyr had never seen his face. Beside him was a guy in green. He seemed like an American person who had strong will. His name was Brogan Leitch, a soldier under Iron Mask for over ten years. "Brother Iron Mask, why did you not personally pick Palace Master up from the airport?" After a long silence, Brogan could not help but ask. Iron Mask did not reply, he continued to stare at the trees in the forest.

As he moves, he contorts his body and construes his shoulders, though his neck is completely straight while doing so. The man proceeds to crack his neck and gives out a long sigh. The other two following beside him -a woman wearing a biker helmet, a black wife beater, and a jumpsuit wrapped around her waist. The other is a Mexican man, his hair is jet black and slicked back with grease. Scars dart across his face like constellations. He is also wearing a normal black and white suit like the man they seem to be guarding. "I want to sleep..." The masked man comments, swaying back and forth.

Their faces pale and terrified, their hands bound, their mouths gagged. I felt a wave of nausea wash over me. But I forced myself to stay calm. I forced myself to keep watching. And then I saw him. A man standing in the shadows, watching the unloading process with cold, calculating eyes. He was tall and thin, with graying hair and a scar on his cheek. He was wearing a black coat and gloves, his hands clasped behind his back. Marcus Reed. My heart stopped. He was alive. Viktor had been telling the truth.
