He ferociously glared at her, shooting daggers out of his eyes in hopes of killing Veronica in one strike. Before she could comprehend what was happening, she was now on the bed with Sebastian atop her, propping his hand on the bed as he glared at her beneath him. "Oh really? Do you want to try and see if it's pleasing to the body?" He asked sinisterly, an evil grin threatening to be released from his face. For once, Veronica stiffened as her back drenched in sweat. It was then she realized she had sucessfully angered the great devil. Not wanting to lose the battle, she pretended to be unaffected as she twirled the corner of his sleeves pyjamas seductively while batting her lashes.

Charlotte playfully shake it in circles in her hand while looking at me insultingly. “Were you ashamed of yourself? You think just because the prince announced you as his mate to your fellow lowlife werewolves, he would to the same to the elite guests?” she slurred. Her friends giggled in mockery. “I’m genuinely curious, Migumi. What does it feels like to not be recognized by your mate? Did it cut off your ambitious wings?” She stood in front of me with that mean girl persona of hers dominating her system. Her fellow mean girls are laughing behind her, seemingly proud with how she manages to bully an Omega like me.

Jim mocked as I approached the door. "How she could think she would end up with me…We are opposites, and to think that without me asking, she had handed me everything I wanted on a fucking platter of GOLD!" My chest would tighten, my lips would part, and I’d wave back, pretending I hadn’t been caught staring. And maybe—just maybe he would step out onto his own balcony. Close the distance between us with words I can’t quite hear, but feel. Maybe he’d lean against his railing too, mirroring me, his body angled in a way that says I see you. I want to see you. My mug trembles in my hand. The fantasy feels so real it almost hurts when I blink and find myself still alone. I set the mug down carefully, afraid my shaking fingers will betray me. I grip the railing instead, the metal cool against my palms, grounding me as my thoughts spiral.

The Counter-Attack But the "Final Cut" Liling-Mimic didn't vanish. Her face twisted into an expression of pure, human-like rage—the "Envy" of the Anonymous finally surfacing. "If you want the Truth," she hissed, her body beginning to expand into a towering mass of liquid-carbon blades, "then the Truth is that The Heir must die for the many to live." The Spire began to shake. Outside, the millions of Mimics in the streets let out a synchronized scream. They weren't actors anymore. They were The Discordance.

Seeing Titan’s name on my screen was only getting me worked up. I picked up the call and stopped when his Russian accent came next. “Tell me… how serious were you about killing anyone who touches her?” My fingers squeezed the phone and I let out a breath. “Dead serious. Show me.” “Are you sure you want to see this?” He asked and anger suddenly ripped through my veins. Three seconds later, there’s a picture. I clicked on it and for the first time in a long while, jealousy hit me. I zoomed in, ignoring her pretty face to observe the man who was trying to lead her out of a restaurant.

“This is the love story of the decade. People need to talk about it at reunions for the next fifty years. ‘Remember when those two finally stopped being idiots?’” Bianca pointed her fork at Jasmine. “I’m giving a speech. A long one. I’ve already got the title: ‘How Two Stubborn Dumbasses Finally Stopped Running From Each Other.’ Chapter one is Sebastian trying to hide Eli in his closet like a bad teen movie. Chapter two is the time Eli carried him off the court like a dramatic romance hero.” Eli groaned, rubbing a hand down his face. “Please tell me you’re joking.” “I’m deadly serious,” Bianca said cheerfully. “Maya’s helping me pick the most embarrassing photos. We have options.”

The moment he saw me, the fear in his eyes turned to jealousy. "You want me to come back, don't you? Then he should give back what's mine! He's had my place long enough. I don't want anything else. I want the company." At those words, I let out a chuckle. "I've been running the company for ten years. Are you sure you can handle that?" Kenneth caught the disdain in my tone, and his face flushed with anger. "So what if I don't know how? I can learn. If I had grown up here, I wouldn't be any worse than you!" he snapped.
