The Devil's Vow #1: Crimson Promises

The Devil's Vow #1: Crimson Promises

Chapter 40: A Dangerous Game I should have learned by now that peace never lasts. For a brief moment, I had let my guard down. I had allowed myself to see something in Damian beyond the cold, ruthless man everyone feared. But the universe had a cruel way of reminding me that this life wasn’t meant for comfort. Especially not for me.

Mr Billionaire Wolf Hunter Mustn't Know My True Form

Mr Billionaire Wolf Hunter Mustn't Know My True Form

I sat in a velvet chair, sipping a warm latte, while Gary lounged across from me like he owned the damn building. He began to talk about the report Ronan had given to the hunting committee, but he emphasized that he wanted to hear my side of how a human girl ended up in the middle of all that chaos. I fed him the practiced lie, the exact same fabricated tragedy I had sold to Ronan. I kept my eyes wide and my voice appropriately shaky. After letting a moment of silence pass, I leaned forward, morphing my expression into one of naive, breathless awe. "By the way, Mr. Ghalow... if you don't mind me asking, how many of those beasts have you captured? Just in the last year alone? I’d love to hear

His Dangerous Truth

His Dangerous Truth

It is the kind of smile that belongs to a man who has just decided the game will be more dangerous if he sits close enough to touch the blade. By four o’clock, Julian Hart will be sitting across from him. By four o’clock, Adrian will remind him that beautifully written humiliation still has consequences.

DANGEROUS GAMES

DANGEROUS GAMES

Maybe I should delete it then I'd tell Avani this was insane and I wasn't doing it. Should— My phone rang, it was sienna. "Hey," I answered. "Diego. Listen. I need to tell you something about Felton D'Angelo." "What about him?" "Be careful. He's not—he's not what he seems." "What does that mean?" "It means he's dangerous. It means people who get close to him tend to disappear. It means—" She stopped. "Just be careful. Okay?" "Sienna, what are you talking about?"

The Manhunt

The Manhunt

“The manhunt game right?” “Yeah. You have to participate or you'll get killed instantly. You have to participate but you get to be the prey of these so-called-hunters with guns, and you—the only thing you can do is run and hide to prolong your life. And if you survive, what's the price? No—no one can survive.” It's when he speaks longer when the realization comes to me that he has a raspy voice like a turntable. “There were actually three of us when it happened. The first one was killed, shot in the head. The second was also killed, but by the man they called 'Eagle Eye'.”

Deal With The Devil

Deal With The Devil

(Bright’s POV) This Hunting Game is brutal. It’s not just a friendly game where you try to run away from their tomato guns just so you don’t get eliminated from the game. This is an actual survival game. It’s about strategy, luck, and sometimes, betrayal. I’ve seen some of them that came in groups, but ended up shooting each other. I don't even know why I'm in this stupid thing, but here I am, running, dodging, and trying not to get caught by whatever insane rules they’ve set up.

Iridian

Iridian

He knew exactly what he looked like, and how that was affecting me. Attraction aside, I would never forget the type of man he was. He wasn't in league with actual Darkness like Nadia, but that did not make him pure and good as a whole. Washed in shades of grey, as the voices in the cavern had once told me. Dain Viotto, or the Game Master as he had become over the course of one hundred and seventy years, was the most dangerous person in this world.

Such a well written book and the story really drags you in, I’ve enjoyed reading this so much and hope a sequel comes out. I really feel this book should be printed, I’d read it over and over again. The book is long but it’s well worth it.

The author has a fantastic ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and a great ability to describe the scenery around the characters. I find the characters to be mostly well defined and consistent throughout the book. There are some typos and incorrect grammar, but not enough to disturb me complet

Scent of Danger

Scent of Danger

“Mine.” The volti held his eyes, her expression cunning. “Mine.” Mathin’s eyes narrowed. In his present mood, he wouldn’t object to skinning her. The female snorted and paced away, conceding the prize to the more dangerous predator. The rest of the pack melted into the woods, in search of easier prey. “You’re going to get me killed,” Andrea whispered, but her shoulders relaxed. “You’re making this more difficult than it has to be.” He helped her to her feet, helpfully dusting her rear.
