It resonated directly inside their souls—ancient, arrogant, and overwhelmingly powerful. The silver liquid in the pool began to swirl, rising into the air to form the shape of a colossal Eastern Dragon. It wasn't flesh and blood; it was a spiritual projection of pure, primordial Qi. Its whiskers drifted in the heavy air, and its eyes burned like twin suns. "A beast of the mortal dirt," the Dragon spirit sneered, looking down at Caleb and his Pack. "Stinking of void-metal and artificial fire. You dare to dirty the Dragon’s Cradle with your presence? You seek the tears of the World Tree?"

If she knows everything, why ask? “The truth. I want to know if Tru is safe. Those letters made it seem like she would never truly enjoy life or be fulfilled without you but that she would be in great danger with you. I’m not sure which I prefer yet. I need more details.” I sigh; I say, “I knew the red monster was a dragon because I’m the dragon. Tru is my soulmate. We were supposed to have a life together 500 years ago, but she was killed before we could. When Tru died, all the magic started to die with her. This included the dragon stone. “And so now you’re leading an army to Vienthrey?” “That is the plan.” “Riding on the back of a golden dragon,” he slid me a look under his lashes. “Yes.” “Dragons are dual natured,” he said gently. “Were you aware of that?” I looked away, across the room and the arrangements of tables that now overflowed with revelry. “Yes, Leongrad.” “Mmm,” he was thoughtful.

A golden wing sent the brown wolf flying through the air till a tree stopped her flight. Shocked silence filled the air as the pack took in the Luna. A huge golden dragon was in the clearing. As she shifted to look at the wolf in the trees, every single one of them could see the mate mark on her neck. “Wow, that’s our Luna,” an excited little voice said as the kids where the first ones to get over their shock. “She’s a dragon!” A blast of fire set the tree alight just as Alice’s wolf fell. The smell of burnt fur and moans of pain was heard as Alice shifted back into her human form.

For werewolves, we just have to mark them on the new moon." Aidinth said, "It's kind of the same thing, except it is done in a sacred area. I've never actually seen it done, but dad said it's like a ceremony. Selene will guide us through it." I said, "Is Selene the dragon goddess too?" He replied, "She is for the shifters. For the actual dragons, that do not shift, that is Tiamat." I said, "I didn't even know there were any more actual dragons. I don't need to see one though. His deep green eyes studied me carefully and I fought with all I had to keep him out of my thoughts. Dragons and dragon magic are highly dangerous, even to the creatures like me. One of their traits was mind control, and
