“ It is ideal for you two lovebirds.” “We are not-“ “I can’t wait to see it.” Justin cut me off again. “We are not a couple. This apartment is for you not us.” I whispered to him. “Really?” He grinned slyly. I poked him in the ribs. The apartment was located in a nice, cozy, safe looking neighborhood. And Hannah was right it was perfect. It was new, large ,with two bedrooms, a large living room, kitchen and dining room. I checked out the plumbing, and wiring. They were in good condition.

“Hazel Town looks like it barely has electricity.” I chuckled and looked around. Our new apartment was small—just two bedrooms, thin walls, and barely any furniture—but it was clean. And quiet. And ours. The smell of warm bread from the bakery downstairs floated through the open window. I had no idea how we landed an apartment right above heaven, but I wasn’t complaining. “It’s not Blackwood,” I said, dusting off my jeans, “but it’s home.” Martha looked around and gave a small nod. “It’s not bad.”

Micah glanced back, offering me a small wave filled with warmth, before the two of them disappeared out of the restaurant. I scanned the impeccably designed interior, each detail a testament to opulence, and couldn't shake the disbelief settling in my chest. This luxury apartment, far beyond anything I had ever hoped for, was now my reality, all thanks to the address Ace had casually provided.
