It'd always represented my last wall of defense. "Aster, no…" Aubrey tugged at my hand, likely understanding what I was about to do. She was scared things would get out of hand, scared that her perfect family would break apart. I patted her hand and said firmly, "Some losses are necessary to keep our lives in good order, Aubrey." I slowly looked up to meet the gazes of Tristan, Anastasia, and Ophelia. With a sneer, I called out to Tristan. "Are you really sure you don't know who we are, Tristan? Are you sure you want to risk the rest of your life for these two women?"

A guttural roar ripped from my throat as I smashed my fists into everything around me. The mirror shattered. The picture frames broke. Anything that could break, I broke it. I couldn't face the man in the mirror. The monster who let his mate and child die. Finally, I collapsed in a heap of her old clothes, clutching the fabrics that still held her faint scent, and wept like a lost child. "I lost you, Selena," I choked out, my voice shattered glass. "I really, truly lost you." #

I yell after but he was gone. I feel two pairs of arms around me as I sob into my palms on the floor. I lost everything.  Blaire's dress 

His arms loosened its grip which gave me a chance to have a full view of him. "And now, I'm starting to lose you! The one that I thought will stay even if I hurt him for a lot of times chose to help another woman!" I wiped my tears and swallowed the lump in my throat. "I'm starting to lose you, Uno..." I sat on the grass, not minding if I will get a bunch of rashes after. I covered my wet face with my hands and cried more. "Farrah," Uno kneeled in front of me and pulled me for a hug. "You will not lose me..." He breathed.

No upgrade for loss. What I have now is a life trapped behind my eyelids, even when they’re open. My world is texture and sound, yes, but it’s also suspicion and paranoia. It’s soft footsteps I can’t trace. Whispers I can’t locate. A knife slicing into the meat of my trust every time I try to believe someone’s voice is genuine. And I trusted them… once. I trusted the ones who I called family. My parent.

POV. Alexander I run out of the cafeteria doors after my mate. But once I reached the woods I couldn't smell her any longer, it's like she just disappeared into thin air. "I need more wolf's in the woods right fucking now. My mate is missing and I want her back NOW!!" I mind link to my entire pack with my Alpha command. It felt like we were out in the woods all day but it had only been hours. When I had almost given up hope I saw her at the edge of the woods by a big tree talking to none other than, Jaxson Shadow the Alpha of The Shadow pack.

The part of me she had under her control, that little thing that beats at the left part of my chest. I wasn't the kind of person who would lose balance over anything, no matter what the issue was, I always prided myself as one who would keep a calm head even in a storm. Well, when Angela Fox left me, I didn't just lose my balance, I was swept off my feet. One would never understand how it feels to lose the one person that makes you feel special in a way no one could. It was beyond just sharing intimacy with such a person, it was more about losing a place in the person's life...and finding that you have also done so in yours.
