The stuffy odor of death, cold, mud and rotting leaves entered my nostrils, and made my stomach unsteady with queasiness. We walked up to the bouncers at the front, and as soon as they saw me, they stepped aside. Their sunken orbits looked my way with disgust, but I knew that they weren't brave enough to even hiss in my direction. So I smirked and walked passed them. We entered the building, and everyone took notice, like I expected them to. They parted and cleared the way to a booth area, where I noticed some of the other wolves hung about. We walked through the personal, custom-made path, and no one moved until me, Joshua and Deidran were comfortably seated.

The outsiders didn't know who was in the carriage but that voice made their movements lowered. "My lady, a small girl is dragged by group of people. It seems she is trying to flee from them for some reason" a female servant who was sitting front, outside of the carriage reported immediately as she saw the situation.

He dropped to his knees and hit his head on the ground repeatedly, “Miss Joni, have mercy! I can’t take that! I’m not part of the Jennings family! I’m not! I’m an outsider! I’m not worthy of being punished under the family’s rules!” “Now you’re an outsider?” I sneered. “Then why, when you flaunted power in my family’s mall, didn’t you remember that? When you spent Grandpa’s money recklessly, didn’t you remember you were an outsider? When you forced Linda to step on my sister’s inhaler, didn’t you remember you were an outsider?” Blood ran from his forehead, staining the floor. Yet, he didn’t dare stop. Even if he survived one hundred and eighty beatings, he would end up crippled.

' Anna replied sharply. This memory lived with her longest, this was the fight they had one week before she lost her mom. Now here she was alone, moving to Romania to escape a life of shattered glass and hope here in Maine. As she settled into the box of pictures, his face flashed in her mind.
